šŸ©šŸ©šŸ© Let me get this out in the open. I am vegan, have traveled all over the USA and have been on the hunt for that perfect vegan doughnut... Dun Well Doughnuts have won that award in my book. Located in a street with lots of cafes and shops, Dun Well Doughnuts is appeasing from the outside and in! Beautiful, vintage themed doughnut shop with so much to look at. Then you walk up to the doughnut case and just think WOW, so many vegan doughnut choices. The man working was friendly and packaged up my 3 doughnuts I eagerly ordered- I had read so many great things about this place, I was thinking are the reviews right? They had a fresh cart coming out from the back looking like they where going to refill the doughnut case, and he grabbed all the fresh ones off the cart instead of the case for me. Myself and my friend where blown away by how amazing these doughnuts where. Strawberry, vanilla, chocolate and blueberry PB, each one was a treat. They have a great texture, cakey, rich, flavorful, with fresh sweet frosting on top. I have been to a vegan doughnut shop in Philadelphia, Denver and the famous Voo Doo in Portland, and Dun Well Doughnuts wins in first place for the best vegan doughnuts. Now I am far away from Brooklyn, and dreaming of these tasty doughnuts. Go, enjoy and try as many as you can... you will fall in love.

I use to love this donut place ! The donuts are super amazing and I’ve been coming here since 2017 when my best friend who’s vegan introduced me. Unfortunately today I went and it was closed at 5 pm. I completely understood but somebody was looking at me from the door inside so I asked nicely hey what the hours usually? and he ( a white male with a man bun ) and a black woman were laughing at me. So I said to my wife wow that is so rude and disappointing why are they laughing? As i was walking away. the white man opened the door and chased me outside. He started yelling and saying ā€˜what did you say to me ?’ and getting alarmingly close to me. So he started yelling I don’t see a man here get a man to defend you. Typical white male privilege and violence to two queer brown girls. He was like bring a man I wanna see a man and basically kept following us until I got scared and yelled at this to shut up and get the F away from us. But like I said the donuts are good, not enough to make up for the violence I experienced but to each his own! Here are some cute pics of all the times I ate donuts herešŸ’”šŸ’”šŸ’”šŸ’”šŸ„ŗ RIP to my favorite place🄹 PS I FORGOT I was with my nine year old niece and she was really scared … poor kid just wanted a donut and she encountered a white males glass fragile masculinity !! I discovered this shop through IG and started following them for a while. Their donuts looked amazing and I was enticed by the fact that they’re 100% all vegan. Since I was in the neighborhood, I stopped by to try them out. The staff weren’t particularly welcoming, friendly or helpful when I told them that it was my first time & asked for recommendations. I ended up getting two donuts that came out to about $7.50 in total. I went outside to eat them in my car because they don’t allow customers to eat in shop. As soon as I picked up my first donut, I immediately felt all the grease seeping out of it. When I bit into the donut, it had NO FLAVOR! It literally tasted like raw cold coconut oil. So disappointing. I took a bite of my second donut which was the Boston cream… even more disappointing! There was nothing Boston cream about it. The cream inside had no flavor and it wasn't even a custard/pudding filling. The filling tasted like unsalted butter to me. Again, this one just had the flavor of cold coconut oil in my mouth. All in all, I felt like the greasiness and dough calorie content weren’t worth it if they didn’t at least taste good. I’d never go back, but at least I gave them a try! I took two bites of each and then threw them away. :-(

Used to order here all the time. Been a customer since the pandemic. Placed on Order on Friday - items were sold out. I was told to replace the order on Saturday and they would make it right. I replace on order on Saturday - received an order of incorrect items. I was told the manger would call me back the next day. I never received a call back. I call in and ask for a manger and proceed to be bradded by his wife. She doesn’t even let me get a word in before she tries to say no one would have told me that on Friday. Then proceeded to say because there was no (s) next to donuts - my requests were canceled despite being told I would be taken care of the next day. She tried so hurry me off the phone because she doesn’t ā€œwant to talk about this - there’s customers in front of herā€ despite my calling the day before to get the situation rectified. I haven’t been able to get a word in at all Because she’s just yapping at me. Tell me my pov of what happens doesn’t matter. She clearly didn’t care for my business since she didn’t offer any alternatives or want to hear what I had to say. I hang up and say well that wasn’t good customer service. I stupidly try to place a new order because I say let’s give them a chance - order app isn’t working - call back to see if they can send the order directly - now the husband owner is on the phone - says he’s all caught up - how could you be caught up when neither of you have let me say more than a line on the phone. I was never contacted directly by them. All direct contact was made by me to them and I was met with resistance and pushback. Despite someone saying they would rectify the situation- no one actually did anything to make it better. It just left an even worse taste in my mouth. They claim they tried to refund on DoorDash - but DoorDash says they have no record of them calling. Owners should give their customers a chance to explain their issue without jumping down their throat. All I was trying to do was get a new order placed but the owners were too busy trying to absolve themselves from the customer service issue. I said to him I work in customer service I have to hear the customers out. He laughs and says yeah right sure and says so what do you need to say. Because I don’t get it. There’s no customer service over there - they are just worried about the $$$$ - spend a total of $69 over two days to get the wrong items. You could hear the dismissive tone through their responses. No replacement was offered nor any positive gesture towards...

These donuts are primarily composed of icing and barely any dough. The excessive amount of icing makes the product hard to eat. It feels as though I have essentially paid for icing rather than a well balanced donut. If I had wanted that level of sugar, I could have simply purchased a bag of sugar from the grocery store.

Additionally, I have noticed that some donuts are significantly smaller in size compared to the other donuts. According to the store manager, this is ā€œby designā€ or otherwise intentional, which raises concerns about fairness in pricing, as some donuts do not provide the same value as the other options despite them being sold at the same price.

When I had addressed these concerns with the store manager over the phone, I was informed that nothing could be done simply because I ā€œdid not like the donut.ā€ However, these concerns clearly extend beyond personal preference—I am highlighting a legitimate health-related issue that prevented me from consuming or enjoying the product as intended.

As a long-time and loyal customer, I am disappointed by this experience and being treated with complete disregard and immediately dismissed for every concern I was expressing. No accountability was taken, in fact the owner Dan lacks any humility and did not see anything wrong. Dunwell I’m sorry for your loss because I will not be back. I also do not recommend. Simply if I could give this place 0...
