When the store manager and staff members actively state I should try the competitor to order the item I need... you know they no longer care about their job or the brand they work for. I needed an ink cartridge that was not available online and was apparently available in-store. When I got there they didn't have the ink however the staff member was going to assist in ordering it in. They couldn't figure out how to do that (!?) so the manager said the staff member should print out the list of stores that do hold the item so I could call / visit them. The staff member said she was too busy to print that out for me and that I should just call each store to ask if they have it. It's a pandemic and there were MAYBE 2 other shoppers in the store so I'm not sure how it was too busy The staffer then said it would be helpful to her if I, the customer, went downstairs to retrieve her scanner from the cash wrap so she could scan a different item in an effort to facilitate ordering. I alerted her that I don't work at the store and questioned why I should retrieve anything for her. She said she was too busy to get it herself. At this point the Manager was back in ear-shot and I stated "well if you guys can't figure it out and treat your customers this way, perhaps I should go to OFFICE DEPOT to order this item and take all my business there" to which the reply was "yeah they probably have it available for you". I mentioned again that I would be taking my business elsewhere as I was sure with that response they didn't quite understand me. This time I received shrugs and a totally non-caring attitude. I was completely shocked. There are SO MANY people out of a job right now, many who would be more than competent and fabulous in these positions. Many who would excel. Yet here we have these employees (and a Manager!) who literally directed me to the competitor. So, I ordered from Office Depot - not only was the item available, but it was cheaper with faster shipping time. Thank you OD for being my new go-to for supplies!...
Read morewent to the staple booth at the javitz and the reps mentioned the 34 street location. I came across this handsome gentleman who could sell a salesman a pair of shoe strings. He told me his name was AC and as he showed me the different items that could be purchased at Staples specifically the one in Manhattan by 34th or 35th Street he made it clear that the items such as the beautiful leather bag which was a backpack was not being sold at the expo. Not fair. I think Staples really blew it this weekend at the travel expo for not selling items. The travel plastic credit card wallet type thingamajig that you'll see in the picture was awesome perfect for traveling and the way AC described it as far as how to use it was just worth sitting and listening to him. If you're looking for a sale listen to AC of Staples he'll make sure he takes care of you. Come to think about it his name on his name plate was Anthony. It's a shame that whoever was managing Staples from HQ this weekend, had you only allowed your representative to sell the items you would have made a killing. So many people came to AC as well as the ladies and asked about the different items that were on display. But we were all disappointed when we were told they're not for sale here at the expo. I just want to say staples you guys should listen to AC when he talks he knows how to...
Read moreThe printing center has absolutely no idea what they are doing. They make up the price on the spot however they feel like. When I reached out about re-ordering the same print job I had done two weeks prior, their pricing had gone up from $0.178 per sheet to $0.276 per sheet, despite the fact that I was ordering even more sheets the second time around. When I emailed them back about their pricing, they responded that the price went up recently to $0.25 per sheet (which is not even how they charged me). Then after calling them to get the problem sorted out, they contradicted themselves maybe 5 times. They were rude while I was trying to explain to them the fault in their pricing, then they hung up on me! Then we got to the fee to have it delivered- over email they said $25 for same day delivery, but over the phone they were claiming it would cost $40 for NEXT DAY shipping. I told them I’d rather wait longer for the $25 then pay $40, and they said it would be delivered on Monday. Then I see my receipt, and it says same day delivery for $25. Are you kidding me? If any supervisor is reading this, I have emails that show the pricing being contradicted from one email to the next. I’d be happy to share them. Very disappointed with my experience with the printing center, if I could give 0...
