I visited this location twice within a week, hoping to purchase a new phone. During my first visit, the staff were VERY unwelcoming. They were gathered by the tables and looked so miserable, and didn’t approach me at all. Very off putting for customers who come to purchase phones and other items. Although I was eventually assisted by an associate who was nice at times, they didn’t have knowledge of the product they were selling, which left many of my questions unanswered. I can’t seem to recall what exact words the associate used with me but the comment that was made to me and how I interpreted this interaction was that I was burdening him and wasting his time when my intentions were to buy a new phone. Feeling rushed, I ended up purchasing the phone despite my reservations. I was warned about an $80 returning fee if I decide to return the phone which was fine because I wanted to test out the phone to see how I like it because I wasn’t thoroughly helped in stores otherwise I would not have bought this phone!!
A few days later I return back to the store because I did not like my purchase. This time the store was very busy, with a small line forming at the front waiting to be assisted. Only one associate was helping customers and calling on the next people waiting on the small line that formed. However, to me it seemed many of the other employees were just standing around, trying to look busy instead of assisting those in line. I noticed one employee with really long hair who looked directly at me while I was waiting but chose to do nothing to help or at least her other coworkers that were just standing there. I got tired of waiting and just walked up to an associate this time and when I initially asked one of the staff members for assistance, she redirected me to her coworker instead of helping me herself, which was odd. When I finally received help, the staff member avoided eye contact with me the entire time and was very unfriendly and looked annoyed even though I did absolutely nothing to receive this type of treatment. My friend who was accompanying me made a comment about how unprofessional this location was. I thought I was going crazy but I’m so glad someone else noticed how badly their customer service was. I left this store feeling horrible thinking something was wrong with me for my to deserve this type of treatment. Looking back at some of these reviews it seems like other people experienced the same issues as me so I know it’s not me whose the problem.
Additionally, I was misinformed about the return fee; I was told it was $80, but my receipt clearly stated it was $70. Whether this was a genuine mistake told by the first associate during my intial visit, I don’t like when my money is being played with and the unprofessionalism in this establishment. I had intended to buy a phone case but I decided it was better to shop online or go elsewhere rather than spend any more time in this store. Clearly, some people may not be suited for retail and customer service roles. I wish I had gone to the other location nearby who I never had any...
Read moreBest T-Mobile corporate store, the employees are extremely friendly and attentive. They stay with you the whole time and guide you through whatever issue you are having/whatever device or plan you’re purchasing. I had Kenneth help me (he’s the best in every sense) with a multiple line plan. I was able to later text him with a billing issue and he helped me out right away. The store itself is pretty well kept too. You can check out the latest smartphones from Apple, Samsung, and LG before you make your purchase decision. The employees are nice, honest with you, and really patient. My whole ordeal took more than an hour and the whole time I was constantly asking them questions and making specific plan requests, they never got tired or showed the slightest sign of annoyance. This is my preferred T-Mobile store now, even though I have other stores that are way closer to where I live. Just don’t confuse this store for the other smaller store that’s 2 blocks away. This one is bigger with a much fancier storefront, and it’s located on the 86th St. If you’re curious, just walk in start talking to the people there, they don’t mind...
Read moreInitial good interaction with manager. Then I left the story for less than 10 minutes to retrieve my Apple i.d., which the manager told me I'd need. When I returned another gentleman was in front of me and the two store employees were helping two other customers. For over fifteen minutes nobody even acknowledge that we were there. Eventually I was able to see an employee about my desire to purchase an iPhone. When I told her I hadn't brought i.d. because I'd done business there before AND had just left the store, she said that "common sense" dictates that people have i.d. on them to do business. She said it more than once. Even though I could have completed my transaction at this location, I was so offended that I told her I'd take my business elsewhere, and I told her why. Insulting customers is not way to run a business, and if she doesn't know how to speak to customers, even if the customer is confused, she needs...
