Corcoran Realty is an amazing agency. Especially Gayane Avetisyan, as beautiful a person as her name. Most real estate agents see my freshly healing skull cuts and think I was born yesterday and invent new fees. She was very appropriate and gracious and divine. Housing is a human right and she only wanted to get me back home š¢. I wish they controlled Forest Hills Gardens. Which has become exclusive. She was so intellectually curious about the area, because she realized it's a hidden gem that sells itself. And I taught her so much about the area and gave her books to read. She wanted to be authentic. And she guided me and taught me so much that I'm able to be my own real estate agent. And Corocran Realty group's application process is so upfront about the fair housing rights act. It should be mandated by law. My newly departed mom had a phrase, "you wash my back, I wash yours." I want this agency to have sincere commendations. They adhere to the rule of law. I was raised in Forest Hills Gardens after my father's death by my beautiful aunt who just recently died. And yet I'm unwelcome in my own neighborhood. One landlord even told me, I apologize we don't want people like you here. You're severely disabled and have no income. I have a traumatic brain subsidy, based on all of my years paying into social security. My guarantor is New York City with a AA rating. This is a predominantly a Judeo-Christian neighborhood, founded by Dutch German Protestants. And yet they don't practice what they preach. Once moving back there I will put my youthful exuberance into bringing The Majesty of God back to the Gardens. I'm living with a traumatic brain injury and yet I'm fully functional and intellectual. I embody God and am proof that he exists. Never forget. Everyday he lives through me. And he fights all my battles. I'm just a conduit, and there are beautiful people there who feel his energy and it touches their lives. And they go out of their way to be obedient to the greatest story ever told. The Bible and mine. Thank you Corcoran Realty from the bottom of my heart. You'll never understand how much you mean to me. Here's to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWas messaging with your agent, Yan Dekhtyar and we had a date/time set to view a listing. I wrote back via email to confirm two small dogs were permitted- he wrote back no pets allowed. The listing itself says pet friendly and then under amenities, pets allowed. I was just confirming 2 dogs were allowed. Rather than go back and forth, I decided to give him a call. Upon answering the phone, I was very polite and he was quick to let me know his name was pronounced differently. Okay, my apologies I said. Then I proceeded to say the listing says it in both places pets are allowed and he said well āI copied and pasted my sale listing and now they want to rentā so I said well I would suggest updating it because its misleading. He was very rude, and goes āyea I heard you the first timeā. Rather than accepting the fact he made a mistake and was lazy and didnāt update his listing, he was offended that I notified him of his error.
I would suggest he attend some professional development classes and learn how to treat his prospective clientsā because he sure needs it. If you want a rude agent, see here for a lazy guy who doesnāt know how to proofread either.
Good luck selling YAN....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeware of Cristopher - in the beginning of my boyfriend and Iās apartment search last winter, he was very responsive, constantly sent us listings (although we specified we wanted rentals only and he tried to push homes for sale on us) and even offered to attend FT us at showings because we were located out of state. Since the market was so hot, we also looked at at listings on our own on the side and contacted other agents on properties he didnāt send us because we wanted to up our chances. Clearly that was a problem for him. Long story short, we ended up signing the lease on a place through another agent (mind you, without his help) and he was insisting we pay him a brokers fee for his help throughout the process?!? Thatās not how it works and to top it all off, the apartment we got said āno brokers feeā on the listing. He yelled at us and said we wasted his time and that he āwasnāt going to proceed with billing us just this onceā because he was gracious enough to not have us sign a contract in the beginning. Extremely shady practicing and super rude. In the end why would we pay you a brokers fee for a place thatās no fee and we inquired about on our own...
