Been meaning to write this review for ages! I’ve been coming to Kyle for 2-3 years and he is truly the best I’ve ever been to! I have thick, naturally curly hair and used to absolutely dread haircuts - I never was quite able to find my perfect stylist match and suffered disappointment after disappointment with stylists who just couldn’t manage my hair, botched what I asked for, or made me feel like my hair was difficult just for having some curl and weight.

When Kyle gave me my first cut, not only did he give me my favorite cut and bouncy blowout of alllll time, he really connects and makes you feel comfortable in his chair, too! I look forward to getting my hair done now and catching up together. Kyle also gave me a keratin treatment before my bach trip and it was such a life saver in the Miami heat! Highly reccomend for the upcoming summer humidity.

TLDR; I basically trust Kyle with my life (which is my hair lol).

I’ve been going to Gabi for a few years now and am always blown away with how my hair looks everytime! I loved the new doll room hair salons location. It’s right in the middle of everything and nearby the L train station. The new space is very well decorated and relaxing. My first appt in the new space was for a haircut! I have very thick wavy-curly hair and Gabi always cuts it so I have volume but also cuts out some of the bulkiness on the bottom. I also have made appointments for my mom as well and she has thick curly hair. Gabi always makes my moms hair look amazing! I will be going back again this weekend for my balyage appointment. Gabi has dyed my hair a few times now and each time I try something a little different. Gabi asks lots of questions to make sure she gets it just right and when she’s all done my hair looks better than I imagined! 1000% recommend Gabi to anyone. Don’t hesitate to make an appointment. I randomly found the doll room after searching for salons online to help color correct a dye job from the summer that left my hair looking copper. I wanted to get back closer to my natural dirty blonde color but with highlights. I met Gabriela on a Wednesday evening for a consultation. She took her time analyzing my hair and talking me through options. She was so patient and thorough and really eased my fears. I immediately felt like I trusted her and booked for Friday. The whole process took a little over 5 hours but it didn’t feel like it. Gabriela is so friendly and funny and personable. She made sure to explain every step of the process and we chatted about life, travel, reality tv our families and everything in between.
