J.Crew — Local services in New York

Last sunday, me and my friends went this store. and we were browsing the T-shirt section on the shelf. and then a black man who is staff in this store, His name is Dennis we saw the name tag He came and slapped my friend's hand holding a T-shirt and laughed at us. it was absolutely ridiculous and what a crazy situation. me and my friends told to him you need to watch your attitude, but he was just keep laughing with the other staff in the store. we really wanted to talk with the manager but looked the manager was not in there. cause all of them were laughing and joking together. it was literally terrible. I needed some chinos for a holiday trip. I called ahead to JCrew in Williamsburg and reached a sales person named "Tamara." She let me know they had the items I wanted in stock. Upon arriving at the store and asking for her by name, I was directed to a section of the store she was minding. She was INCREDIBLY helpful and was very patient with me as I searched around, rather indecisively looking for items. All salespeople should be as personable and friendly as Tamara. I came in needing something very specific -- a sweater to wear over a dress at a funeral -- and the people here took SUCH good care of me. Fast, polite, easy-going. They bestowed a random act of kindness on me that brightened my day greatly. Uncommon to have such a human interaction in retail, especially in this neighborhood, where stores are generally staffed with aloof, above-it-all people.
