First time taking my kids to the dental department on Wednesday. I booked my four kids and myself that day. I had the most blatant discriminatory experience of my live there that day. I am still in shocked at such behavior and unprofessionalism by Dr Adriana Aumat. Her passive behavior started once one of my three year old twins got in the chair. Her mannerisms and passiveness were not at all shunned. My other twin who I was holding was fussing so she asked that I take her out the room. I did that with no hesitation. Then as we sat in the hall way she Dr âAymat âcame out and asked that I return to the waiting room.â I asked whyâ. Her reply was â itâs too much noiceâ , to which I replied âthat doesnât make sense, are you not accustomed to kids fussing and this is there first time here.â She then said that she âthe dentistâ is not a pediatrician. I asked her then why is she here seeing children with such an excuse. I said to her kids cry all the time at the dentist, she then replied â BUT SHEâS NOT NORMALâ referring to my daughter. I said to her âexcuse me!â By then another patient who was overhearing what was going on came to my daughterâs defense and told her she was dead wrong for that. Later on after an hour or so they allowed me to see another dentist under an emergency schedule (my kids were not allowed to see another dentist). I was very upset so I decided to leave. On leaving that same dentist narrowed her way to the entrance where my daughter who is 12 years old was standing (almost pushing her) then slammed the door hitting her without any excuse. Off course at that point I reached my pinnacle of the madness that was happening there. That dentist should not be allowed to work in such an environment, and clearly she gad no remorse. She was very comfortable on showing off her disdain at my family particularly my 3 year old and I donât see any human in their right mind who would act like that. This...
Read moreI really loved going here for my medical service. I lost my job as a social worker in Maryland while protecting children, and women, and through no fault of my own. I too faced many obstacles as a homeless person living inside a New York City shelter: from spoiled rotten food born illnesses to gas leaks and upper respiratory distress. Every time I went here for treatment, I was treated with the utmost human dignity and respect: they greater me with a smile, always, and upon arrival the staff directed me to the specific area, and in many cases escorted me like a VIP and with gentleness, and kindness each step of the way. The medical doctor was awesome, and the social work team really took the time to care for another homeless friend of mine who really needed the services. If I had money, I'd donate to this organization because they never made me feel like some other places that I've been to when they hear that you are homeless, those other places gave substandard care. The Floating Hospital, is a clinic that specializes in treating homeless people. I felt that they really get it. They really hit the mark for me. I didn't have to explain being homeless. The staff fed us while we waited, they gave us juice and a snack too. We played games and this released the tension and stress all the while quickly moving patients along through their medical doctors visit. Taking the time to explain, and the follow-up game here is unmatched. Thank you Floating Hospital. Thank you...
Read moreI feel so abused by some of the staffers at this hospital. First off after reading the reviews Iâve realized Iâm not the only one with the issue of having them answer the phone. Some of the employees are rude, condescending, and not proficient at their jobs. I went to a dentist appointment at approximately 11:45, but my daughter has the cold with congestion, so I asked for her and her sister to be seen by a doctor. The first thing I dad was tried to get the girls booked because it usually takes two to three hours to see a doctor. I finished at the dentist about 1:30, however the receptionist did not book the girls in after taking their information. I had to wait over another three hours to see the doctor. I left that place after 5:00 pm to head back to the Bronx and still had to wait on transport. Earlier on when I spoke to a manager he turned everything around on me, questioning my parenting on why I didnât take my kids to their primary doctor instead of coming there to see the dentist as well. I feel so abused my the treatment Iâve gotten at this hospital I cried leaving that place. Each and every time I go there itâs the same thing, but this experience was the worst. I hope someone in authority investigate the culture and behaviors of this place...
