I’m not mad anymore, and I decided to change my rating from 3 stars to 4 stars. I also removed the technician’s name and before nail pics because I feel bad—maybe she’s new and still needs more practice. Yes, I was right that she wasn’t very skilled—my nail chipped the next morning. But I went back, and the boss/manager Coco was very nice and sweet. She personally fixed my nails and even gave me a warm towel to clean my hands at the end. I’ll definitely go back to this nail salon again.

7/10 I’m still upset even the next day, so I need to leave this review. To the salon owner: if this continues, you’re going to lose customers. I’ve been a regular here, not every month, but this salon used to be my first choice because it’s close to home and usually does an okay job. But my visit yesterday was extremely disappointing. Xxx did my manicure and pedicure. The pedicure was fine, but the manicure was terrible. She cut my nail bed too deep and made my finger bleed. Then she picked at the skin around my nails so roughly that I was in pain at least three different times, something that’s never happened with any other nail technician. When I pointed out some dead skin still left, she seemed annoyed, like I was being picky. She touched it again, hurt me even more,I made some soft sound cuz it she hurt me . Guess what she gave me a look like I was the problem. Seriously? Then she wiped my hands with a nearly cold towel and gave me a massage that lasted less than 30 seconds. I get that it’s complimentary, but at least give two minutes like everyone else does. Despite everything her bad attitude, hurting me, and the below-average nail job—I still tipped her 20%, because I’m a polite customer. But I left angry and disappointed. This was...

This is my 5th time here. My first few times were fine but this time, Yoyo did my nails and it was a terrible experience. The entire time, she was drilling and buffing my nails so aggressively that my nail beds started to feel sore and I can tell she was drilling too much. One of my nails is shorter than the rest so I asked for an extension nail on it. She glued it on so badly that there was a gap between the fake nail and my real nail and the fake nail was sticking up. I told her multiple times that it was bad and it shouldn't be like that. She wouldn't listen and said adding powder on top would smoothen out the bump. When I pointed out one more time it did not look right, she sighed and very aggressively finally took off the fake nail with a drill. The drill went into my skin and I flinched and pulled my hand back but she just kept going. My finger is now sore and it feels like my nail is too thin. I had also asked for coffin shape for my nails but she kept making them square and I had to constantly ask for every single nail to be skinnier coffin shape. At the end, she apologized and said I was right but this was a really unpleasant experience because she was giving me attitude and rolling her eyes for something SHE had done wrong. ** I’m sharing this review to suggest that YOU KNOW you want and better communicate about things to be done in certain ways before the technician finishes their job! Otherwise, not every session will be perfectly meeting your expectation for the price you pay..

I want to highlight that the staff here are friendly and communicative, and they were open to accommodating specific styles and I walked out of the store thanking them. I truly appreciate their time and effort in the end. However, I wished a couple of things were done a little better..

the gap between the gel tips and my natural nails (only 2 of them came out thick so I assume it was a one-time mistake..)

I have flat & wide nails so I prefer to keep gel manicure applied on the sides thin and the middle part bolder so it creates a natural appearance of a normal nail. Some of mine came out broad. (Maybe it could’ve been better if I realized it soon & told my technician about this right away)

Thorough clean up could’ve been nice.. so no gel manicure was stuck on my skin part.

Other than these small things, I like how my nails came out and loved that staffs helped me choose the right...
