Update: I've called 5 times over the span of a week, and no one responded
My time in this apartment complex proved to be an overwhelming disappointment. From the outset, it became apparent that a multitude of issues would tarnish my envisioned haven of comfort and tranquility.
The persistently discolored water flowing through the taps was both disconcerting and unsightly, raising serious concerns about the cleanliness and safety of the building's plumbing infrastructure. Despite promptly reporting this issue, it regrettably persisted, causing frustration and a constant worry about potential health risks.
Furthermore, the absence of reliable hot water further exacerbated my living discomfort. Taking a warm shower became a daily gamble, uncertain of any respite. The lack of consistent hot water supply disrupted my routine and cast doubt on the competence of the building's facilities and management's dedication to providing basic amenities.
Maintenance proved to be another substantial letdown. On multiple occasions, I witnessed maintenance personnel monopolizing both elevators, causing undue inconvenience and delays for residents. This disregard for residents' needs and the disruption of daily routines was both frustrating and a safety concern.
Moreover, an unrelenting odor of trash permeated the entire premises, creating an uncomfortable and unwelcome living environment. Despite numerous complaints, the management failed to address this issue adequately. It was disheartening to realize that such a basic concern had been overlooked, leaving the constant foul smell as a stark reminder of the management's negligence.
Most disappointingly, the management exhibited a consistent lack of responsiveness. Regardless of the issue, our concerns went unheard and unresolved. Communication attempts were met with silence, leaving us feeling disregarded and unheard. This lack of accountability demonstrated a prioritization of rent collection over the well-being and satisfaction of residents.
Adding insult to injury, the rent was abruptly increased by almost $1000 per month without any justifiable reason or noticeable improvements to the living conditions. This unjustifiable hike placed an additional financial burden on residents and highlighted the management's disregard for their financial well-being.
In summary, my experience in this apartment complex was nothing short of a nightmare. The persisting issues of discolored water, lack of hot water, elevator monopolization, the constant odor of trash, and unresponsive management created an entirely unsatisfactory living environment. The exorbitant rent increase further exacerbated the negative experience. I strongly advise potential tenants to steer clear of this complex, as the numerous problems and lack of accountability make it an untenable choice for a comfortable and enjoyable place...
Read moreI've lived in "Landings" for 2 years. A complete waste of money and the people who own these properties are a joke.
They are trying so hard to turn this into overpriced luxury housing and it is so ridiculous. The buildings are ANCIENT, roach-infested, have water issues (brown and/or cold water every few weeks/months while we lived here), filthy, and the list just goes on. The "upgrades" that they make to these apartments that allow them to jack the rent up hundreds of dollars are cheap, tasteless and useless. I'd take wooden floors and cabinets any day if it would bring the rent down a few hundred dollars. Having cheap gray laminate floors and a gray countertop does nothing for me. The amount of crime that has happened in these buildings also makes the price points laughable. It is so cold inside of these apartments in the winter that it feels like you're outside, and they REFUSED to increase the thermostat settings (they're preset and unchangeable). Laundry rooms are always closed for some unknown reason for days at a time, and sometimes without prior notice. It is insane. All of the negative reviews are true.
I'm very tired of homes/apartment buildings being owned by greedy, soulless super-rich multi-billionaires who do not care about the people who have to live in these homes. Homes are not a luxury. They are a necessity. Go play with the pricing of...
Read moreExtremely frustrating moving process and noncommunicative management. We are coming from another state and reached out six times for moving information (the broker also reached out twice), and were ignored each time. We were then told that they never give out moving information (loading dock, etc.) until one week before moving - even if you're coming from another state (or country)! Keep this in mind if you're considering this place and be prepared to lose some money as you'll have to make moving plans no more than a week in advance!
We were also told that they do not work on weekends and we could not pick up the keys on our move day (Saturday) - if they had responded in advance like we asked for several weeks ago, this would not be an issue. Because it's an interstate move, we had to reserve the truck and flight tickets in advance and could not coordinate with them because they never responded. They suggested we fly to New York the day before - which would necessitate us flying BACK the same day, and then AGAIN on our move day. Very unprofessional and difficult to work with.
This seems like a nice unit and building, so maybe this score will improve over the course of our lease. But this is by far the worst first impression I've ever had of a building and management, and the rest of these reviews don't give me a...
