Parents, be warned— The Learning Experience in Long Island City is NOT a safe environment for children. My son was assaulted and punched in the face by another child in his 3-K class. This child has a known history of incidents in the classroom and has harassed other kids in the school. As written on the incident report, “Upon R—-’s father dropping him off, another child stepped on R—-’s shoes and hit him in the face without provocation.” Despite this clear act of aggression, the school failed to take action to protect my child. The director covering at the time, Angelica, handled the situation in an unprofessional manner and I’ve seen her speak to other parents unprofessionally in the past as well. When I expressed my concerns, the school admitted they could not promise the child would stop hitting my son and had no solution to prevent further harm. Instead of taking responsibility, they made it clear that they had no control over student safety. To make matters worse, one of their regional managers, Jennifer, called me that evening and was completely unapologetic. She condescendingly stated, “I spent 15 minutes telling you there’s nothing we could do to stop this.” Her dismissive attitude and lack of concern for my child’s well-being were shocking. On the very same day, another preventable incident occurred. My son scraped his back due to inadequate supervision from Ms.Galilea. The incident report states, “R—- was trying to sit down, and the chair was far back, and he fell and scraped his back.” The school provided no real explanation or assurance that they would prevent similar accidents in the future. Days earlier, my son came home with a scratch on his face which Ms. Michelle stated happened after nap time and she admitted she had no idea how it happened. How can a teacher be unaware of an injury that occurred under her supervision? This level of negligence, lack of accountability, and disregard for student safety is completely unacceptable. If you are a parent considering this school, I urge you to think twice. Their inability to provide a safe learning environment puts all children at risk. If an incident occurs, do not expect professionalism, responsibility, or real solutions—only excuses and dismissiveness. No child deserves to experience this and no parent should have to deal with these issues to ensure their child is safe at school.

Parents, be warned— The Learning Experience in Long Island City is NOT a safe environment for children.

I 100% would NOT recommend “The Learning Experience” in Long Island to ANY parent that’s looking for a safe, responsible, professional and or New York State Child Day Care compliant facility. My nephew attended the school for 7 months. My nephew experienced bullying from another student and The learning Center failed to comply with regulations and inform our family of the MULTIPLE incidents. We have witnessed this particular student having temper tantrums and seemingly struggling with the other students. My nephew came home on multiple occasions and informed our family that this specific student “hit him”. My nephew later came home with a scratch on his face AND on another occasion that his head was hurting. The school FAILED to communicate verbally and or in writing that my nephew was physically hurt, EVER. Our family paid for the safety, HONESTY, and expected the proper child care compliance and the school failed our family tremendously. It is a child daycare’s DUTY AND OBLIGATION to communicate any and all incidents to the parents. The final straw was when my brother in law witnessed the other student physically slap my nephew as the teachers stood by!!!!!! As a family we instructed our nephew to defend himself! The school failed my nephew by not protecting him. The school also failed the other child by not properly addressing underlying behavioral issues and implementing a plan of action. This school is driven by money and intentionally withheld vital information about my nephew to continue collecting money from both families. The day care violated New York State Child Day Care Regulations 418-1.8 Supervision of Children. “ (i) In other than emergency situations such as illness or accident, parents must be notified in writing!!!!!!! There’s obviously a serious problem with the supervision ratio for this to be happening and not being reported or addressed. My nephew was a victim of bullying and the school treated our family’s concerned and caring parents as if they were problematic! The school asked for our nephews not to come back because or family demanded explanations and a plan of action. DO NOT ENROLL YOUR CHILD IN THIS...

We send our toddler to the learning experience in LIC, and her primary teacher is Ms Monet. My spouse and I could not be more thrilled to have found such a caring and loving facility for our child to attend and grow in. Our toddler is our first child so we were quite scared about sending her to daycare but knew that it is important for her social and emotional growth. Thankfully we were able to find TLE in LIC.

Everyone there from the first day was extremely caring, compassionate and very nurturing of our child. We knew that she was going to be a handful since it was the first time she was going to be going away from us even for a few hours a day, but the TLE staff were wonderful with the amount of attention our child demanded. She has slowly come out of our shell and looks forward to going to daycare every day. Even on days where she is off, she asks about her teachers from daycare, and her friends wondering what they are doing. This was not something we expected so soon after she started at TLE.

Throughout the day, they upload pictures of our child, and also inform us of her eating habits etc. Additionally, the TLE staff hosts a gamut of activities for the children such as a halloweens day parade, party for valentines day and even bring in a soccer coach to allow the children to learn about team work and sports. The location is also quite nice and extremely safe, and during the warmer months they take the children out for walks and to play in the sun which is quite important to us.

Only negative is that the app can be glitchy at times but a small negative given all of the pros the staff there offers. Again, we would wholeheartedly recommend the learning experience to any of our friends or family and we were thrilled we were able to find them for our own child. We haven't doubted our decision once since starting our child at this...
