I'd heard good things about this church from several friends over the years, but never got the chance to visit. One rainy February, a meeting I had downtown wrapped up early, so I stopped by the Ash Wednesday service. I went to services the next Sunday, and have continued attending whenever I've been able ever since.

The church has great music and preaching and is a wonderful, welcoming community. The welcome here doesn't come with an asterisk, either. Even if you can only attend the occasional weekly service (which was my situation when I started going), the clergy will still go out of their way to make you feel like this is your home. Recently, my wife and I relocated to a new city right as the pandemic started. The church's quick pivot to virtual programming was a lifeline to us during this horrible year, when we felt...

I’ve been a member of Calvary-St. George’s for almost two years, and it’s the only church where I’ve felt truly at home. In addition to beautiful services and thought-provoking and Scripture-based sermons, the Parish offers a warm and safe community (a must in New York City!) to both members and first-time visitors and a variety of ways for everyone, regardless of age or interests, to become involved. Members are kind and welcoming, and the clergy is reliable and personable, and both work to ensure new members feel included. I instantly felt a part of a community when I began attending almost two years ago, and I would recommend Calvary-St. George’s to anyone looking for a church...

Are you searching for a beautiful Episcopal church with an inspirational and thought provoking sermon to attend online or in-person Sunday Services? You should look no further than Calvary-St George’s parish in New York City. You have the choice of two architecturally different churches steeped in American history. Calvary is nestled in the famous Gramercy Park neighborhood, while St. George’s is located near bustling Union Square. The stunning high-quality music provided by professional musicians combined with the welcoming ushers will quickly help you feel like you have found a...
