Would’ve got a better review if i received the food i paid for, but these people can’t handle group orders even if you pay separately. They dont value customers at all. So if you’re food for whatever reason is missing something (wrong side or wrong dish in general) understand in this place it is “your fault” not the staff, they will not replace your food if something is wrong with it. If you value customer service this isn’t for you. (Edit) to clarify because this business is ran on lies. I paid $18 for a burger with with sweet potato fries by myself not on a tab. A burger was brought out with regular fries which i did not take because i simply didn’t order it it was given to someone else separate from me. I mentioned clearly more than once that dish was not mine because i paid for “SWEET POTATO FRIES” i respectfully asked if i can just receive my burger after all i paid for it with my hard earned money after a long day. These people claimed it was my fault that the burger was given out to someone else when they brought out the wrong order and did not give me such order it was never given to me let alone was it what i paid for. After going back and forth explaining my side this “manager” proceeded to keep his attitude as if he wanted to fight me while making the burger. While another employee was arguing with me saying im wrong for wanting what i “PAID” for. Already these people are disrespectful and have no human decency for a young kid and took advantage, why would i accept any food given to me with the climate we living in you argued instead of listening to me I assume what you give me is tampered with i no longer want it. I gotta protect myself. These people are liars and run off no sense of respect or dignity. Full of pride and lack...
Read moreAs a Brooklyn Native , I was not to impressed. Gentrification is so boldly not respecting the true value in maintaining the integrity of the hispanic culture of the community it supposedly servicing. Outside of the Brooklyn print graffiti on its wall, the place is other than that!!!! No thank you gentrification… it would be nice to see some form of art that represents the community it so call serves. However, there is a nice print of a tree that represents the name of the establishment. The place is super tiny, making it difficult to order or even to take a look at the full menu as the patrons are standing over each other to order and hawk watching for a seat is the sport in this establishment. After 40 plus minutes of waiting our food arrived. I ordered the full breakfast, in which my home fries were cold . The chicken schnitzel and waffles and the grill cheese with tomato bisque were a hit and in this aspect I was pleasantly surprised. Being that the establishment is super tiny, politely placing a seating time limit would be beneficial. Many people walked in and turned right around to avoid the wait time. There was also a table of four whom finished their meal, yet sat with no regard of the other customers patiently waiting. This new wave of disrespect moving into the neighborhood is...
Read moreYelp led me here, and my experience will bring me back ... now that I know how to find it. ;-) By that, I mean that the signage is ... subtle.
Food was excellent. Setting is cozy, and relaxed. A number of good menu options - mostly new takes on good comfort food. The girl at the counter was friendly, and offered excellent advice - both with the menu, and on questions about some other topics in the community. Free Wifi. Clean restroom - nice, pe se, but also indicative of a well-run, conscientious shop.
We visited during lunch, on a weekday. I went with the meatloaf and sides of the butternut squash soup and the mashed potatoes [different name]. Good quantity so that it wasn't too heavy, but certainly filling. Nice flavors. Good textures. Again, not too much of anything - but, just right. Was able to wrap it all up with a chocolate shake - rich chocolate. Also good.
My friends went with the chicken schnitzel, the burger, and the buffalo chicken. I sampled the regular chicken and burger. Both were good. Regular fries...
