I did my 200-hour YTT with Three Sisters Yoga and it was one of the best decisions Iāve made. I hunted around for a very long time and looked into countless different studios and schools hoping to stumble into the right one and Three Sisters is the one that called to me. I LOVE that Three Sisters is geared solely toward teaching would-be teachers, rather than a yoga studio that offers training on the side; you feel this in the focus and extremely well thought out curriculum that Jen offers. With multiple course options, thereās room to grow and fine-tune your practice and teaching style over time. Jen is very knowledgeable - her attention to detail, ways of explaining different concepts, dedication to her students and work, and vibrant personality made the teacher training so enjoyable and digestible even when everyone was tired amidst their full-time work weeks. I absolutely loved meeting and connecting with the other students in my training and maintained relationships with some of them after the course. I loved being offered an open-ended approach to yoga where we discussed various aspects of it and were able to really think about what area we want to focus on as individuals and speak with multiple instructors that focused on different areas and connect with them as well. I loved meeting all of the different instructors that we were introduced to and learning their approaches to their individual crafts. I learned so much from this teacher training, both on how I could improve my personal practice and very invaluable lessons on how to teach others. Another great thing is that Jen continues to offer opportunities to past students, talk about community building. Seriously, look no further - youāll be so...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTeacher training programs come in all shapes and styles. Some lean more into the consumer wellness industry than others. If yoga teacher training has felt inaccessible to you for any reason (financial cost, lack of diversity and representation, emphasis on physical fitness, etc.), know that Three Sisters Yoga has designed a program that consciously addresses each of these aspects of the yoga industry.
I came to Three Sisters Yoga (TSY) for its intentional curriculum and its community of teachers who draw from a wide array of teachings and styles. Because TSY offers only yoga teacher training, there isn't the pressure you'd get at other studios to learn a studio-specific style that might restrict how you show up as a teacher. All is allowed and all is welcomed at TSY. There is no sense of restriction of the type of yoga or teaching you can offer after you graduate.
What I most appreciate about TSY is the program's willingness to continue to learn and adapt to be as inclusive as possible. I have no doubt that each iteration of TSY's 200-hour offering will continue to improve and uplift those who might otherwise not have considered yoga teacher training. If you want to discover what you uniquely are able to offer the world through deepening your yoga practice, come learn and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām so grateful I chose this program for my teacher training. What stood out most to me was how truly student-centered it felt. Jen created a supportive and welcoming environment, and she was flexible with things like make-up hours and balancing in-person and virtual options, which made the program much more accessible compared to many of the other trainings I evaluated.
Another aspect I loved was that we learned from a variety of teachers, not just her (although she is awesome š!!). That diversity exposed us to different teaching styles and approaches, which really broadened my perspective and helped me start to find my own voice as a teacher.
When I came into training, I was mostly focused on the asana practice and thought yogic philosophy would be āover my head.ā But the way it was taught made it approachable and meaningful. I ended up getting a lot out of the elements beyond the physical practice and really enjoyed the education!
I am leaving this program not only with tools to teach but also with a deeper, more holistic understanding of yoga and my own practice. I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a training that prioritizes studentsā growth and...
