Dollhouse stores are rare these days. This is a lovely one, in a great neighborhood (check out the bakery next door) with a huge selection. Lots of dollhouses and a wide variety of accessories and furniture, spanning many eras. I try not to buy new stuff made in China, but I made some exceptions here, as I made time to visit this store on a short vacation to NY. Some items are available as open stock, and others you have to ask for, including most of the furniture. About 1/3 of the dollhouses you can select items from, and the rest are either “Ask first”, or behind plexiglass. There are small baskets to put your items in. I have happy memories of going to the former Shackman dollhouse store in lower Manhattan in the early 1970s, and Marshall Fields dollhouse department when I visited Chicago as a kid. I’m one of those middle aged moms who got back into Dollhouses during the pandemic when I painted an old doll house I bought my daughter and then started picking up a “few things” off eBay. The woman at the register was not the owner. She was totally polite, and efficient but not super friendly or forthcoming, so I didn’t bother asking questions. It was fun watching a young girl with her mom carefully selecting her purchases. I think a lot of folks come in and just browse. It’s not cheap, but dollhouse furniture and accessories rarely are. Prices seem comparable to the store in Duluth, MN where I sometimes shop.

I have been going to the Tiny Doll House since I was a very small child. Leslie, the owner, is incredibly knowledgeable about design and decor and amazingly imaginative when it comes to sourcing the proper elements for a new project. It’s such a joy to have pieces still in my collection from 22 years ago that look good as new.

I love this shop and the folks who work here; they have a nice supply of houses, furnishings, food and keep adding all the time. It's a joy to walk in and see if my "houses" need anything--a new miniature book, new cake, new plants for the outdoors, new rake, holiday decorations like pumpkins, tacos or lobsters to eat, musical instrument, dog or dog bed, bird or birdhouse, you name it; they have it. My two houses--one a fancy townhouse and one a rustic log cabin--have given me and my family such pleasure, far better than sitting in front of a computer, especially during the pandemic.'The staff is delightful...

The displays are beautiful but I didn't have a good shopping experience. I asked for a bathroom set which was bagged for me. Only when I got home did I notice the faucets were very bent, the toilet scratched, and the package was stapled (probably returned by someone else). I live too far to return it and later realized the same exact set was $15 cheaper at hobby lobby. Also a lot of things do not have a price but vary from a few dollars to a few hundred dollars which makes it difficult to shop there. I would say if you are visiting do your research and inspect the items very carefully...
