If you feel overwhelmed by the unwieldy men’s sections in big department stores (or even big chain stores), Todd Snyder might be the solution. The Midwest-born designer honed his menswear skills at J.Crew - you’ve got him to thank for the Ludlow suit - and brought his midwestern sensibility to his own label in 2011.

As GQ put it recently, Todd Snyder the brand has a “J.Crew-grows-up vibe” that is great for guys who are ready to upgrade the contents of their closet.

The newly opened downtown store in Tribeca is a homecoming of sorts. Snyder was the man behind the Liquor Store, the OG #menswear destination, when it was fronted by J.Crew. It closed last spring and Snyder snatched it up.

While you can find a larger selection of product and more of TS’s collaborations with other brands at the flagship store in Madison Square, the new Liquor Store is a smaller, more highly-curated experience.

ZERO respect for customer privacy. I had to ask multiple times for them to not send me marketing. And after asking them to completely delete me from their records in May, unwanted catalogs are showing up in my mailbox in September. Absolutely creepy.
