Anna is absolutely wonderful. I found her through a diligent online search and came in to get the OXO organic smoothing treatment. First of all, she is so sweet and accommodating, and she walked me through every single step of the process, explaining how and why she was doing each step so that I felt comfortable. I was not sure how well it would work on my hair, because I’ve had untamable tight curls for my whole life. I was tired of trying to control and style them, especially in the summer when with a drop of sweat it would reverse any styling. Anna was so confident that she’d be able to get it to the exact straightness I desired - and she did!! And I can still style it with a curling wand if I want, and it will hold. Now I can get out of the shower and it will air dry almost perfectly straight, or I can blow dry it straight. And when I sweat, it doesn’t curl up! She warned me that it may be a little flat for the first month and I may need to wash a little more often than usual, but nothing a little volumizing product and dry shampoo can’t fix! She also checked in with me a few weeks after the treatment to make sure everything was going well, because she genuinely cares about her clients. I’ve already recommended her to family and friends! I am honestly amazed, and it has cut my getting ready time in half. I'm somewhat new to NYC, I searched for a place to get my hair permanently straightened and Verlique came up. I talked to Anna booked, an appointment for OXO organic smoothening treatment and i cannot stop saying enough good things about her and her amazing assistant Natalia. Anna, being a perfectionist as she is, did a phenomenal job. My hair which were super damaged, frizzy and fragile, but the OXO organic treatment transformed them into soft and shiny and poker straight hair. The best part about Anna is that, she's a perfectionist and double checks if everything's fine and most importantly makes sure that the client is satisfied and happy with the end result. I rarely ever write reviews, but I went to Anna for the first time to try the OXO Organic hair treatment and the results are LIFE CHANGING. I was a bit skeptical and thought it might be too good to be true, but I washed my hair for the first time since getting the treatment and it air dried so fast and looks exactly how I was hoping it would. Zero frizz, silky smooth, but not so flat that it doesn't look natural. I also decided to get a hair cut on the spot and Anna did an incredible job and was super flexible with her time. She is the most knowledgable hair stylist I've ever been to and immediately made me feel at ease and comfortable - answering all my questions and just being super friendly overall.
