No joke - this is hands down the worst retail experience I’ve had in years. The store is situated in prime retail area (one of the highest traffic section of SoHo), yet the store staff (came across four of them) act like they don’t care and don’t want to be there when you ask for assistance for product info, sizes to try, etc. We wanted to get a pair of tennis shoes and some tennis apparel as we are getting into tennis, but the staff refuse to answer any questions and just tell us to look at the shoes ourselves. Mind you, the entire store has less than 5 people when we came in (5:15 pm on Sunday) and there’s as more staff than customers. The employees were just wandering around and chatting but started acting busy when you ask for help. What’s the point of coming to a brick-and-mortar store when you can’t get any info/assistance? After begging for help and finally trying on a pair of shoes, we decided to leave the store since we’d rather take our shopping elsewhere or online. We asked for sizes for three other styles and none had sizes - so again, what’s the point of a physical store if you can’t even try out the products (we’re regular sizes too - women 8 and men 9). The only pro is the store is roomy and nicely decorated - but no substance in terms of customer service or product availability. IMO the staff of the entire store needs some serious training; I’ve received better assistance from dollar stores...

Nice place with good apparel and I loved being able to test the rackets. However some staff seem completely uneducated.

I came excited to buy the RF01 racket, but wanted a customization to have a leather grip installed. The staff advising me seemed completely uneducated and insisted that this is meant to go over the original grip, and advised I get 1 size lower

Against my better judgement, I allowed him to do so as I was in a time crunch, and also thought that he must know because he works at Wilson! Looked it up later and found that this is certainly NOT the case and now I have a size 1 racket with a leather grip over which feels more like a 3 than a 2.

Hope Wilson educates their staff on what they do and don’t know so they can advise appropriately. If they don’t know, just say it. There are few things I enjoy more than buying a new tennis racket, and somehow Wilson has ruined it for me. I flew in from across the world to experience this Wilson flagship store, and it ended as a...

Do not want to come here again.

Visiting NYC and we were very excited to be visiting the Wilson Flagship - made sure it was one of our stops in our trip schedule.

While most of the staff on the floor were wonderful and super friendly, the lady at the register basically ruined it for everyone else. She was very rude, barely responsive to questions, rolled up (didn’t even fold) our clothes and squished them in the bag, didn’t bother making eye contact, doesn’t know how to smile … or even talk for that matter. Also, we spent over $300 and asked politely if we could have an extra bag since we were 2 people and were denied. Other stores that offer reusable bags don’t seem to have a problem offering extra.

Other than that, the store itself was very nice, but some staff very evidently need to be reminded of how to treat their customers. It’d be great if you could have your customers walk out of the store, feeling happy about the money...

Awesome spot! I love the whole vibe of this store, and the staff is super friendly. Dylan is a super nice guy; after talking to him and getting some recommendations, I ended up purchasing a whole bunch of tennis items. I don't recall the manager's name, but he's also very friendly and attentive. You can find the majority of Wilson's tennis racket lines, including all the new models. The best part is that you can try these rackets on the court. Typically, you are given 5 minutes, but this can be extended depending on customer traffic. I strongly recommend this store if you are looking for tennis-related items! FYI, they also carry basketball, baseball, golf, and paddleball equipment.
