**An update from my first review:
I decided to come back and give them another chance, and I’m glad I did. I’ve been about here 3 more times since my first visit. I did a bit more research and tried to see which healers were recommended and see if they fit the healing I was looking for. I chose to see Sang Yoon as my healer for the second visit. He asked me if it was okay if someone who was shadowing him can come in the room, which I was fine with. He was very sweet and took the time to ask what I needed. I had a lot of muscle tightness from a recent motor vehicle accident, and he suggested cupping along with the acupuncture. I also appreciated him coming to check in on me during the session. It was such a relaxing experience, I booked another appointment the following week but with Rachel this time. Loved Rachel, too! She does trigger point therapy, which can be uncomfortable in the beginning when she’s inserting the needles because your muscles twitch. But I felt so much better and relaxed after the session. I’m glad I decided to give them another chance. Seeing Sang Yoon and Rachel makes we want to come back more often! **
It was my first time here and was excited to do acupuncture. I arrived about 15 min earlier than my appointment. The receptionist gave me a little tour and told me I can sit in the waiting area and my healer would be with me soon. It wasn’t until 10 min after my scheduled appointment, that I had to go up to reception and ask how much longer I had to wait because I had another appointment right after. It wasn’t a really good look when I saw the receptionists talking to other staff members while I was the only one sitting in the waiting area. I feel like they should’ve checked the waiting area to make sure people were getting taken to the back. They finally went back to look for the healer and was finally taken in. I wasn’t seen until 15 min after my scheduled appointment and the healer did not do a thorough 15 min health consultation like it said on the website. She made me wait a few more minutes since she had to check her other patient. She only asked me if it was my first time doing acupuncture and asked where I felt pain. That’s when she said she’d have to do cupping as well. My whole appointment was only 45 min. I also didn’t receive the ear seed treatment that I had checked off when I booked the appointment. I was disappointed that the healer I got was not as attentive to me as I had wanted. The acupuncture was good, but service could’ve been better. I also didn’t think it would be as loud as it was. You heard a lot of other people talking loudly and it kinda took away from the relaxation. Don’t know if I’ll be coming back here which sucks because if I had a great first experience, I definitely would’ve booked my second...
Read moreThe “TLDR” of this is that acupuncture has changed my life by giving me an extraordinary tool for coping with my mental illnesses, and WTHN in particular is a beautifully designed facility with a warm, friendly staff that make every session a wonderful experience. If you are ailing and Western medicine just isn’t cutting it, go to WTHN!
ACUPUNCTURE I was in the deep, dark throes of a depressive episode and my medication wasn’t working when I decided to try acupuncture. My mother used to bring me to an acupuncturist as a little girl to aid my anxious disposition, but WTHN was my first experience with the practice as an adult. (I will say here that I am still on psychiatric medication and never stopped it, and my psychiatrist is fully supportive of me augmenting the Western medicine with Eastern). Acupuncture helped bring me out of my depressive episode. I am significantly better now that I have acupuncture in my toolbox. I am not cured (that simply isn’t possible as of yet for what I have), but I believe that regular sessions help me maintain my mental equilibrium. I will be honest in this review and say that acupuncture is not magic, and although every session is relaxing, not every session is transformative. My brain slips back into depression or gets addled with ADHD. But I keep going, and my Healer works responsively with me, and sometimes I leave WTHN feeling like the greatest, truest, most functional version of myself. There have been dark days in my life where I thought I would never again know the Taylor I most love to be, but WTHN has many times brought me back to her.
MORE ABOUT WTHN SPECIFICALLY WTHN is such a thoughtfully designed space; it’s beautiful, clean, and relaxing, and the front desk is always staffed by lovely individuals. I currently see the same Healer, Fennie, every week, and she’s fantastic, but there was a time when I would just see whoever was available, and so I feel confident in saying that everyone on the team is wonderful. Though they vary a bit in their treatment styles, they are all kind, empathetic, and highly attentive. They talk to you and really listen to what you’re struggling with, and then cater the session to those needs. I was pleased with the notekeeping at WTHN while I bounced around Healers, as a Healer who was new to me would already be knowledgeable in my ailments and what treatments I had been receiving. I can’t picture myself going anywhere else for...

UPDATE: I was an Acu + Herbs member of WTHN for over 2 years and loved it. There, however, seems to be some confusion amongst the front desk staff and the policies they’re sharing. I was told multiple times throughout the 2 years that sessions expired after 60 days but if I maintained an active membership they’d have no problem rolling unused sessions over to future months. Turns out that’s not the case. I lost multiple sessions from my account because apparently they expire in 60 days regardless of your membership status. The person at the front desk shared that she’d heard other people say they were told the same thing, so I know I’m not crazy/didn't make this misinformation up/misunderstand what someone said. She told me that she couldn’t do anything to reactive my expired session vouchers, so I came down from my post-session acu-high real quick when I had to pay for my session that I thought was already paid for. She suggested I email the owners at the company email and hopefully they could help me get some of my sessions back on my account, so I emailed them on 9/6 and again on 9/16 and have yet to get a response. I’m disappointed that after being a highest-tier member for over 2 years, the owners couldn’t spend a few minutes responding to me and wouldn’t rectify the situation. I guess it’s all about the money and acquiring new clients for them, rather than maintaining existing clients. Huge bummer.
New update from 10/22/24: still haven’t received a response from the WTHN team. They made sure to respond to my review but never to my email. Further indicates that they care about appearances for future clients rather than maintaining relationships with existing clients. SUCH a big bummer because I really enjoyed having a WTHN membership for over 2 years.
New update from 4/30/2025: still no response from the WTHN team. At this point I know not to expect one but thought I’d update my review. Still disappointed that this is how my membership at WTHN ended after 2 good...
