I recently had an incredible experience with an exceptional yoga instructor . From the moment I joined Shannon's class, I knew it would be something special. Her passion for yoga was evident in her teaching. She has an extensive knowledge and expertise, but what stood out was her ability to connect with each student on a personal level. She created a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making us feel comfortable and inspired. Throughout the sessions, her guidance was phenomenal. She tailored the practice to accommodate everyone, regardless of their level. She challenged us while providing support and encouragement. What set Shannon apart was her understanding of the mind-body connection. She incorporated mindfulness and meditation, creating a serene environment. Her gentle reminders to focus on our breath added to the transformative experience. Beyond the physical and mental aspects, Shannon shared invaluable wisdom and insight into yoga philosophy. She seamlessly integrated these teachings, enhancing our spiritual well-being. Reflecting on my journey with Shannon's class fills me with gratitude. Shannon has improved my physical health, taught me mindfulness, and helped me connect with my inner self. Her dedication, compassion, and support have been a true gift. I wholeheartedly recommend Shannon. Her classes offer physical challenge, spiritual growth, and personal connection. Prepare to be inspired, rejuvenated, and transformed on your self-discovery journey with this exceptional guide.

I had a wonderful experience in Shannon's yoga class on Friday. If you're looking for a unique way to experience New York, this class is a must-try. Practicing yoga outdoors has always been a personal favorite, and this session, set on a lush grassy area with a stunning view of a part of the New York skyline, was truly special. The day started a bit chilly, but as we began our practice, we quickly warmed up. Despite being relatively new to yoga and not in the best shape, Shannon made the class enjoyable and accessible for all levels. Some participants seemed like seasoned yoga practitioners, while I, on the other hand, often faced the wrong direction when instructed to turn right! Shannon's ability to provide alternative poses for those who might not feel comfortable with certain positions was greatly appreciated. One of my previous yoga instructors had spoken about reaching a point where you become unaware of the world beyond the boundaries of your yoga mat. During this class, we concluded with a meditation session while lying on our backs, and I achieved that state of pure presence. It was a truly serene experience, and coming back to the group, the park, and the New York skyline was a gentle reawakening. I'm in town for a month, and I'm definitely planning to attend Shannon's class again. It was a rejuvenating and unforgettable way to connect with the city in a whole new light.

This was my first time attending Akasha's "Yoga in Central Park" event and when it was over I felt renewed on a cellular level! I'm very new to yoga and was a little nervous I'd get left behind but one of my favorite parts of the class was how easy Akasha made it to flow from one stretch or pose to another, even if I didn't immediately know them at first. She was incredibly clear with instructions and the pace was quick enough to feel like a workout but soft enough that I could make a mistake or adjust and still be in the moment. Being outside, able to feel the earth and her rhythms, and the sounds of birds (and a helicopter or two), made the experience that much more fulfilling and then that was accentuated with a concurrent sound bath being conducted by Ether. Influenced by African sound and music, he was able to envelop and embrace us in a way that even the whirring blades above became part of the harmony instead of a distraction. I truly felt the blend of body and environment and the tingly feelings of peace that comes with that. I will absolutely be attending again -- and again!
