Cabela's (associated w/ Bass Pro Shops) is the premier sporting goods destination in Central Indiana. Unlike other top-tier outfitters such as REI, Cabela's has all of the field and stream gear necessary for those who hunt and fish. Poles, lures, fishfinders, Tracker and Ranger boats and ATVs, rifles, scent maskers, binoculars and well-made field clothing. The selection of camping and hiking gear is equally comprehensive and of equally high quality. Cabela's does not have the bicycles or technical climbing gear found at REI, but intriguing items abound throughout this cavernous sporting goods paradise. Prices are a bit steep as with all well-made goods. Staff are pleasant and very helpful. The store interior is beautifully rustic, including a large freshwater aquarium with huge live specimens of fish native to Indiana. If you are an outdoor enthusiast make the trip to Fishers and give this place a look. Take 69 or east 136th St. Other unique shops are located nearby.

This might be the biggest and most beautiful sporting goods store in the state. You could seriously just come here and look at stuff for hours like you're at a zoo. I came here to pick up a pistol and the gentleman at the counter was super nice and great to chat with. He had a pretty wide range of life experiences (pilot) and seemed to just be enjoying his job in retirement. They also have a "take a number" system now for the gun counter due to the high demand. Most of the goods they carry are high quality name brand stuff, so you'll pay a premium for that. Sometimes they have last-season's stuff on sale or closeout, and you can pick up some decent deals.

Staff was friendly and helpful as usual. Deb went in the back stock of the store to get a shirt in my size. I told her she didn’t have to and she said it was no problem at all and was happy to help. She had a pleasant and friendly attitude while showing exemplary customer service and is a definite asset to Bass Pro/Cabela’s. Love my new shirt! I’ve never had a problem in this store and have been here a dozen times. Some of the 1 or 2 star reviews are just ridiculous and says more about the person than the store. You’ll enjoy their great selection as I always do.

Buying a boat here has literally been the worst experience ever. First off have been nothing but lied to about the “model year end sales event and nation wide pricing”. Same model boat with upgraded trolling motor, electronics at the bow and and upgraded electronics at the console are 2 grand less at every other Cabela’s from Michigan to Florida that I’ve stopped at, all during the same model year end sales event. Then within two weeks of buying the boat my wife leaned over the driver’s seat to reach a cooler and the head rest fell off. Went in to see about getting it fixed under warranty and was told that was possible they just had to order it. A month and a half later I went back in to see about the seat schedule the 100 hr service and have them look at the live well because it would only periodically work. Was told that they were having issues getting the seats in because of all the problems with the ports and strikes. Had no clue ranger could claim to be 100% American made and yet still have stuff being imported. Once I made that statement the service manager back tracked and blamed ranger having new distribution hubs and it making a mess with getting parts. Dropped the boat off on January 6th for the service and what not under the impression they would have the boat a week or two. On the 28th I called checking on the boat and after a couple hours of them looking for what ever they needed to find I got a call back and them saying oh yea your boat was done a week ago. So now to today picking the boat up I was charged $90 to fix the latch on my livewell that was never broken and $11 to replace fuses that had blown. I’m no expert but when fuses blow the thing that’s connected to those fuses don’t work at all. The issue was the livewell would sometimes not fill at all, or sometimes stop filling after only a minute or two and then sometimes it would work just fine. I never had any problems with the aeration end of it just sometimes filling. So to me with a little bit of electrical knowledge would rule out fuses. Now back to the seat. Ticket claims back rest of drivers seat was replaced. You can go to any ranger with the 2 piece seats and wiggle the head rest. They don’t seam sturdy at all. After mine fell off and I was informed that they would have to replace the whole seat back for safety reasons I glued the head rest on so it wouldn’t keep falling off. I used liquid nails and some squeezed out so it’s not hard to tell that the head rest was glued on also I put enough glue in there it wouldn’t sit in it’s original position. After stating that they fixed the seat it’s plain as day that they did not. Seat back is still dirty, still see liquid nails on it. Not once have I had an experience with boat side at this Cabela’s that has involved any...

So against everybody advice we bought a brand new pontoon, we said it will start every time everything will work. Because it’s brand new. We were so excited we bought it in nov and brought it home and put it in our barn. Well out lake season didn’t start in may as we wish my hubby had neck surgery at the beginning of may so we got set back but we still had a brand new boat!! Well the time came we could finally start getting ready for the lake we got our numbers for the sides and filled it with gas and it wouldn’t start ugggggt but it’s a brand new boat with a dead battery. We are an 1 1/2 hours from the store but Andy and hubby got things worked out we had a battery dealer right here in our town. It had a dead cell. But they replaced it. We put the muffs on her and she started right up. Finally to the lake we went another hour away with our brand new boat with a 2nd brand new battery.. well he dropped me off in the lake. I wanted to take her for a spin around the lake. I never had a brand new boat. I was so excited it was going great! Thinking all the great times to come in our brand new boat!! Oh my God I think I’m out of gas it died. I can’t get it started. Do I have a paddle uggg! Glad it’s not a windy day and glad it’s a small brand new boat I am paddling across the lake. It’s Sunday nobody open to help us out with our broken new boat!!! We wasted so much money we shoulda listened to everybody. Now we are stranded. 2 1/2 hours from the store we have to paddle to the dock we have watched all the you tube advice and still won’t keep running. Monday morning we get Kevin the manager he and hubby trouble shoot and figure it vapor locked and we are not able to get it going over the phone!! U won’t believe what happens next ! I thought we would have to paddle to the dock drive to the store leave the boat and ….. then Kevin says we are sending a tech to you!!! What we both could not believe our ears!! Alec came and got it going in 1/2 hour! I still am crying when I think of it so many emotions today sorry for the long review but guys thank you we felt every emotion today regret for buying a brand new boat thankful we did.: we never had a new boat and so greatful for Kevin and Alec for driving all this way yall are the best!!! It was hard to leave our brand new boat at the lake after driving around the lake for hours. and can’t wait to get back!! Hey if your thinking of getting a new boat get it here! They will take care of you!!! Thanx a ton guys have a great summer we will in our...

Where to start. Came in ready to get into fly fishing. Was greeted by Brayden. Brayden asked what brought me and explained I'm ready to get into fly fishing. He educated me on so much. Explained rods, reels, fly line, tippet, every bug known to man. He spent a good 45 minutes with me educating. The only thing I was mad about is the manager came up and told him he had to go to another department now. That was very disrespectful I had more questions and spent a lot of money and the person that was full of knowledge is told basically stop helping the customer and go to hunting department. I drove 1.5 hours. Brayden told me he's sorry that he has to move on and said take my reel to the fishing counter and they would spool it for me. I waited 30 minutes before someone came over. He tried but could not do it. And I told the guy that I wanted left hand retrieve. And he still was putting it backwards. Brayden came over as he was clocked out for lunch and asked how everything was going. Brayden knowing that I wanted left said your doing it wrong it's backwards and he would do it. So Brayden took over to do the fly reel. As he started here came that rude manager again. Telling Brayden to stop and go to lunch. Brayden explained that there is no one in the store that can spool a fly reel but he knew how to do it. The managers said he didn't care . Brayden said the customer has been waiting forever and we haven't helped him hardly pushed him to the side and constantly made him wait. Brayden said he'd clock back in for 10 minutes to do it the manager again refused which irritated me as I just spent 3 hours in total at cabalas being handed off. Brayden persisted and persisted and the manager finally got irritated and said whatever and left. That manager is by far the worst manager I have ever seen. I have been a customer service mager for 14 years of my life. That manager would have been out the door so quick and replaced by Brayden. Brayden got my line on showed me the knots and wished me the best of luck fishing and apologized for what I had to go through on my first ever visit to Cabela's. I contacted corporate and reported the manager and spoke highly of Brayden. He is the only reason I didn't put all my stuff back and leave . Thank you Brayden. And Noblesville Cabela's find a better manager who knows something about...
