Spencer's — Local services in North Charleston

So...I was really contemplating on weather I should write this review. However as a consumer who spends money in the economy, this needs to be said. First of all this is NOT the first time I have had an awful experience with the company and location. I went in to look for a hat for my husband! I tried to call first but you can't call the store directly. On the automated service it does say...go online to check for im stock items. So I went on the website and it said that they had several styles of the particular hat I wanted. When I got to the store I asked the young lady where they were located. She then told me it would be in a section where all the hats were. But that they were not organized or by the types. In other words, I was looking for a Modelo hat but it could be any where behind another brand hat. And let me tell you...the hat wall went from the floor to the ceiling. I asked another young lady for help locating the hat. She then proceeded to give me a million excuses as to why she couldn't help. Then when she did help...someone came over to ask and question and she walked off from helping me without saying a word. I'm so sick of these companies with terrible customer service. Do better period. Hire people that care. Also take care of your employees. I'm sure the lack of customer service is because the company isn't always the best to their employees as well as some people just don't have customer service skills at...

Sadly I was made to feel uncomfortable and basically as if my EVERY move was watched since stepping foot inside. I noted JOEY only seemed to follow my group which I found interesting seeming as compared to the others in the store he was ONLY watching my group? I have never stolen a day in my life I don’t know if Joey is projecting his own intentions onto us, but he mistakenly chose to stare us down the whole time yet couldn’t manage to look up when he checked us out. Which as he was WATCHING us he let us walk to the register walk to the other side and then acted CLUELESS??? When we were waiting to be helped bc yk we aren’t thieves and need to pay lol. walked in to look at shirts and was approached by an older man that worked there asking if we were old enough to be in the store. when we told him we were 18 he proceeded to tell us how young we looked and that we weren’t allowed in the back of the store. He proceeded to awkwardly stand next to us and just try to make conversation and telling us how much older he is than us, and that we made him feel old. while a 12 year old was standing right next to us but didn’t get asked the same question…I didn’t buy anything and will not be returning. He made us really uncomfortable, wish i could’ve...
