Charleys Cheesesteaks — Restaurant in North Charleston

The food is ok but the customer service is trash. Went there today and ordered two Philly cheesesteaks with cheese fries. When my husband told them we ordered cheese fries, not only did they not correct the issue, they argued him down about what he said and told him it would be another dollar (the order was already almost $30) in order to get the cheese. When I went up there, Jeff and Aaron (I think) again insisted that he did not order cheese although I was on the phone when ordered. I gave them their $1.11 but refuse to ever eat there again. Oh yea, did I mention that we used to eat there every week? Save yourself some time/energy and eat somewhere that values...

It's not a totally authentic Philly, but it's a decent cheesesteak. Never would I order a BBQ Philly at an authentic place with Amoroso rolls shipped in fresh daily, but I thoroughly enjoyed the spin on it here. Hubby got the classic and said it's quite a good cheesesteak. Good balance of meat and cheese, with tasty ingredients. He got the chicken Philly too and it was delicious.

If I don't feel like a monster cheesesteak like Larry's Big Boss Man or Jersey Mike's Big Kahuna, Charley's offers a normal human sized Philly that doesn't make me hate myself. We'll be ordering...

Had the worst experience with this place. I was visiting here and wanted to eat here. I asked the guy to give me a Philly cheesesteak with only meat, cheese, and peppers. He asked did I want lettuce and mayo, I said yes, on the side. I get my food, he gives me lettuce on the side but puts tomatoes and mayonnaise on my sandwich. I tell him it’s wrong, mind you, a guy came up to him and told him his food was wrong, he said he would fix it, but when I told him about my food, he argues with me as if I was wrong.
