Dillard's — Local services in Orem

Last weekend I went to Dillard's to pick up some cosmetics. I didn't realize on a Friday night that the store closed at 8pm. The young lady (who was was getting her wisdom teeth out the next day, I can't remember her name) was helping me was super kind in assisting me get what I needed quickly. I spent a decent amount of money and was out of there by 8:15. My complaint comes with the manager who was completely rude to me. She kept hovering and telling me I needed to leave, which at this point she saw me paying. The young lady who was helping me walked me to the doors where I was parked by to let me out. The manager walked over and said I couldn't go out those doors. I said this is where I'm parked. She didn't acknowledge me and took me to the other side of the store, and said I had to go out these doors. I said ma'am this isn't by my car and it's dark. I apologized for keeping them late, and she didn't say anything and shut the door on me. I had to walk around the entire building in the dark, and being a female and alone, I didn't feel comfortable with this. I recognize that I kept the staff 15 minutes late, and I do apologize for that. As a customer who spends a lot of money at Dillard's, I will not be coming back to this store. Update: Dillards Provo has moved to Orem close by to West side shops at University Place Orem at great new Spot ! This is one heck of a nice eye opener store I never was ever in. I went out shopping for all leather dress shoes and leather jacket etc. I do go to a expensive stores too,but I went in to Dillards which I heard was upscale. The store has more then I new including gifts,all clothing for the family, bedding, jewelry, make up, skincare and so much more was all nicely displayed and stocked very well. I looked all around. This is a spotless high class looking store with all nice employees dressed up to help everyone find their needs if wanted and not pushy or following you. But it’s not all high priced items. There are many sales going on, but prices for items for Everyone to fit anyone’s price.This was a eye opener store. It’s great to see a store like this set up so well with dressed up polite respectful workers who will help you find what you want and if your size is not there, ok, they will do a country Dillard’s search and if it is found, it will be at your home shipped free in a few days like my shoes. So check this Store out first before giving up or buying anything in a lower quality. For me, this is my top end store to go to now ! Great Job...

I love Dillard’s and their clothes are high quality and very cute. My issue tonight was with a rude worker that made me feel stupid and unwelcome. I was unaware that they closed at 8pm, since the mall itself usually closes at 9pm. So, I had gathered some dresses to try on and was about to go to the fitting rooms when the announcement was made that it was 8pm and they were now closed. I was on the phone with my mom and told her I was going to try on these dresses super fast so I could let them close, when I was interrupted. “ACTUALLY the fitting rooms are CLOSED because we are now CLOSED!” I was so startled! A worker was yelling at me like I was 5 years old. And It was probably only 8:01pm when she yelled at me. I understand wanting to be done with your shift after a long day, but I was quite taken back with her behavior. I quickly put the dresses on the rack and left, very angry. I’m sorry for the poor rating, but she was rude and the way she yelled at me was extremely uncalled for. I was super excited to go to the new location but now I feel distaste towards this store. Very disappointed in my first visit and not super interested...
