Yaya's Frozen Yogurt — Local services in Oxford

I took my daughter in for the first time today. We made our ice creams and put the toppings on, however, I noticed that the marshmallow sauce was empty at the end of the line. I asked the lady at the counter to refill the sauce, and she took it to the back. I waited for her to come back with the marshmallow sauce for about 5 to 7 minutes, prior to paying. She went into the area behind the ice cream. Then she took a cart and went to the back and refilled the Nutella sauce and brought it up front, but she did not bring up the marshmallow sauce. According to the sales guy at the front, it takes a while to get the marshmallow sauce ready, which was fine. Well, after about 10 minutes, my ice cream was starting to melt, but they told me that if I wanted marshmallow sauce, I had to wait to eat so they could weigh it all together. I asked if my ice cream completely melted if I could make a new cup since this was taking so long, and they told me no, I would have to pay for 2 cups of ice cream. How is that fair when you make me wait for sauce for 20 minutes, also knowing that ice cream melts. Hello. So I stated I would pay for the ice cream I currently had, so I could begin eating it, because it was melting. I kept waiting and waiting for the marshmallow sauce, which never came. Now it’s been about 20 minutes since I made my cup of ice cream, so I went to the counter again and asked if the marshmallow sauce was ready. About this time, 2 older women came to work and put aprons on. One of them asked me what I was waiting on, and I told her. She got really smart with me saying, “well you couldn’t add marshmallow sauce anyways because you already paid for it”. I explained to her I was going to weigh the sauce in another cup to pay for it, but now that my ice cream was almost melted. I asked her, “would you eat ice cream completely melted?” The lady said “that’s your choice I guess” in a nasty tone. I said well it’s been about 20 minutes, at which time the second older lady said, “no it hasn’t. I watched her come back. it’s only been about four minutes.” I said “no maam it has not. I have been here waiting for the marshmallow sauce for 20 minutes.” Not to mention the fact that the lady saying it had been 4 minutes just got there!!! She didn’t even see it all happen!!! And to sit behind a counter yelling at me, the customer, in front of the entire store was CRAZY! I don’t think they could grasp the concept that I was waiting for marshmallow sauce, I understood that I did have to pay for it, and I had already paid for my melting ice cream so I could start eating it before it melted completely. It’s ridiculous to make somebody wait for marshmallow sauce while their ice cream melts and then tell them they still have to pay for it to put it on top of melted ice cream.The ladies both were apparently assistant managers, i think their names were Tany and Brittany. I did report them to the actual manager. Do yourself a favor though, do not bother to go to YaYa’s on the weekend when these 2 women are in charge. Is a must to go to Yaya’s if you are in Oxford. My friends and I go 2 times a week and sometimes on the weekends. I don’t like yogurt, but Yaya's frozen yogurt is just another level of sweetness. Please never leave Oxford. My favorite thing to order is Vanilla with stain now sprinkles and cookie dough. They have a lot of variety of toppings and I consider that the price is just good. They have Mini Peanut Butter Cups, Cookie Dough Bites, M&Ms and Reese's Pieces, Whipped Cream, Gummy Bears, Nutella, Oreos, Boba pearls, White Chocolate, and I honestly can’t remember because they have a lot o variety as I mentioned before. Regarding flavors, they change them every now and then but I think Vanilla, Classic Yogurt, and Chocolate are always there. They have a white cake batter and a Yellow cake batter flavor that is amazing. I am not a fan of fruit flavors but the KEY LIME IS A BOMB. Usually, I pay like 5$ but it all depends on what it weighs. Also, I love the fact that they give you cash app rewards and the people there are so nice. I can’t wait to show people Yaya’s and I will always be a consumer here. Overall...

I’ve been a loyal customer at YaYa’s for the past decade. I’ve always highly recommended Yaya’s to everyone who visits Oxford. After my experience today, that is no longer the case. I took my two children in to get a treat and we were yelled at to leave because they were “not open yet.” First of all, we were all three startled by not being greeted, but actually yelled at once we were nearly at the cash register. Secondly, there were people eating group outside in front of the store whom we passed as we entered the unlocked door.

My daughter (3 yo) even asked as we were leaving “Momma, why did that woman yell at us? That’s not nice of her.”

We took our business elsewhere and will continue to do so. The experience was so terrible that it completely overshadows the other 100+ times I have been to YaYa’s. I don’t know if management has changed or what, but the older, dark haired woman was completely out of line and downright hateful...
