We spent the last three months trying to find the right living room furniture set for our new home to no avail... until we happened to walk by Wood and Nails Furniture on Park Street downtown Paso Robles on our way to Thomas Hill Organics. What a find! For months we had shopped around and checked out furniture stores in San Jose, Morgan Hill, Monterey, Atascadero, and San Luis Obispo without coming anywhere close to the selection, quality, customer service, and value of what we saw at Wood and Nails Furniture in Paso Robles. We were not willing to risk buying anything as important as the furniture for our new home online without seeing in person what it actually looks like or how comfortable it is.
Our customer service experience was absolutely top notch -- Jeff the owner went above and beyond in putting together an idea of what would work well for us when we showed him the photos of our new living room space. Jeff used to be one of the owners of Couch Potato in Paso Robles, and he knows furniture quality, design, and function like nobody else. Definitely ask for Jeff if he's available!
From unique single pieces of home furniture all the way through an entire house set up, we would not hesitate to refer our friends and family to Wood and Nails Furniture in Paso Robles. Truly an exceptionally outstanding furniture store with convenient storefront parking on Park Street, zero pressure to buy, and no hassles with...
Read moreBought an $8000.00 couch approximately 7 months ago and unfortunately it already looks 10 years old. While the construction seems to be good quality (made in USA ) the fabric which I come to find out is not covered under the manufacturer warranty is fraying and pilling to the point of disrepair. While we do have two very well behaved dogs our sofas prior have NEVER had any problems. I recently made a trip with an actual cushion to show Jeff (the owner) and he essentially said too bad and sent me to an upholstery shop near by to see if there was a remedy (which there is not). And ironically this fabric has been discontinued, go figure! Since that time I have visited other upholstery shops and furniture store owners who have said this should not happen. Essentially they all stated it’s a very low quality fabric. I’m extremely disappointed in the lack of willingness on Jeff’s part to take greater ownership of this issue and make good on a DEFECTIVE product. As a long time resident (almost 35 years) of the Central Coast this is not how I would treat...
Read moreI’ll admit, great quality furniture, but low quality management. Hires people off the streets to do your moving, I worked for him, he tried to get one over on me on one of our deliveries by underpaying me, we had our words and I left. It was even to the point police were involved. He gave staff his credit card to gas up his truck. Before our exchange he had given it to me. We had both forgotten about it while arguing. The next day I text him saying “hey I have you’re card, you can stop by and grab it at anytime.” After that I was threatened with the owner John saying “if my cards not here in 20minutes I’m filing a police report.” I felt uncomfortable going to his shop as he was acting irrationally, so I had asked him to meet me with an officer. John never showed up and next day I had a nice key scratch across my driver side door. Shady dude, and...
