This morning my iPhone 11 Pro stopped working. It got to the point where it was showing me the screen to plug it into my computer and either software update or restore it. We tried updating it at home but we would get an error code so we ended up going to the Apple store. There, the girl tried to do the same thing we tried at home on her own computer and it kept giving her a similar error. She told me the only thing that could be done at this point is restoring the phone to try to get it to work again. Another girl came and told us it’s a hardware issue and when my boyfriend asked if we could just replace the motherboard, she told us that it will be impossible because in the phones, the hard drive is built into the motherboard. She told us, rather than attempting to do that, we may as well use that money to buy a new phone. My boyfriend immediately googled it and found her to be wrong. The first girl told us that she will at least try to restore it to get it to work again. Most of my data was not saved on iCloud and I really didn’t want to lose all of my pictures. I told her I would rather take it home and keep trying and if not I would just restore it myself. We ended up going to uBreakiFix right after. I told the employee what happened and he took my phone to the back. Within 2 minutes he brought my phone back and set it down in front of me with it on and functioning completely normally. I was so grateful and on top of that he didn’t even take any money from us. He also confirmed that the second girl was incorrect about the the hard drive being built into the motherboard. Next time anything happens to any of my devices, I will 100% take it to this place before I go to any place like Apple or Best Buy. Read moreI had an appointment to take my phone in, I arrive the man tells me hey can’t take it because he’s off early & I cannot bring it back until Tuesday. This was at 3pm.They closed at 5. Fine I bring it back Tuesday, I’m told it would be done by 3pm fast fwd multiple calls & texts later I am given the run around for DAYS before finally someone admits that “someone” but they have no idea who, attempted the passcode so many times they permanently disabled it !?? I didn’t even know that could happen. They said that I would be required to call assurion for a replacement. They assured me that since it was their fault there’s no reason assurion would not cover it and they were really sorry for the inconvenience, they have a new person etc fast fwd couple days later (when I’m off work during their limited hours) I was able to pick it back up. Again they reiterated the same spiel & apologized. Here’s the kicker. . . Thank GOD I recorded our conversations because they flat out LIED on the notes to assurion after promising taking accountability they LIED & put in the notes “customers brought their phone in disabled. Phone rendered unusable at the time of drop off” end quote from assurion representative. Read moreAlmost 4 months they have had my laptop that I paid 2500.00 in 2020 and it needed new batteries. I have been very patient. The company they ordered batteries from kept sending wrong batteries i was told. Not their fault. But now I found out that the broke my screen. I was told they would replace it at their cost. But after two weeks I called today march 14th. And I was told the screen was out of stock. With no plans but wait a unknown time with hopes it might get in stock. So I have no laptop and who knows how long it might be or even if it will be fixed. This isn't how to run a business. I never got a call. I have call myself . They could of atleast call and let me know. But now. I have no laptop that worked just find but batteries wouldn't last long so I just had to keep it plug i. Most of the time.
