Salon Bass — Local services in Philadelphia

I've been going to Salon Bass for one year and feel I can give an honest and reliable review. This salon is top notch. It's on a fancy corner of Rittenhouse yet does not feel pretentious at all. I began with getting my haircut with Nick (such a great stylist and sweetheart). I got two amazing haircuts from him and fun conversations at the same time. You can tell he loves his job and wants to give you the best haircut. He offers suggestions (if asked) and I leave with great hair. He's the best!

I also needed to find a colorist in Philly since I moved from NYC and was really worried that I wouldn't be able to find anyone who could give me a natural look and not bankrupt me ;) I went in for a consultation with Joe, the owner, who answered all of my questions willingly and knowledgeably. I wanted honest feedback based on maintenance/budget and he gave it to me. He wasn't trying to offer me the most expensive option and was realistic with my goals. He understood I did not want to go into debt for my color but also wanted to look cool and trendy. I've now seen him about seven times for my color and the end result is always that my hair looks great! I finally found a colorist in Philly that I can trust. Joe listens and wants to give you what you want. Excellent customer service all around and you walk away feeling pretty and not broke.

The prices are comparable for a nice salon in Philly but it's the vibe I like the most. It's also easy to book appointments on the Vagaro app. Highly recommend this...

I thankfully came upon Salon Bass after a while of searching for a salon, there are so many options but I am so happy I happened upon this one! I randomly selected Nick as my stylist and our worlds were definitely meant to collide. He really was fantastic, very observant, precise, a perfectionist at his job. Who doesn’t want a perfectionist for a stylist? I got a bob cut from him and I went to work after and someone asked where I got such a precise cut from it was literally perfectly chopped. She will likely be a future customer that’s how much she admired the cut and style. He also engaged in nice conversation with me the entire visit which isn’t expected but appreciated. I have been to this salon on three different occasions now. The first time I got a full balayage and cut from Sydni, she was amazing and did a great job. When I made my next apppintment, Sydni was booked so I went with Linda. Linda was just as amazing. She recommended a bonder to keep my blonde from getting too damaged. After my third visit to salon bass I can honestly say that I've never loved my hair more than I do now. They are very knowledgeable and great with advice to keep your color looking fresh and hair healthy. Nice location. You won't be disappointed with this...
