Ponoci Hair Studio — Local services in Philadelphia

Full disclosure - I decided last minute to get a haircut, and booked about 1.5 hours before the actual appointment based on the reviews already here.

So, there is first some confusion with their site and then going to the online scheduler. I was booked with Nana, which I assumed was short for Anastasia, the only woman stylist listed. I realized my mistake when I arrived. No big deal.

Nana washed my hair first, then dried it, to do a dry cut - that was my first, and I'm not a huge fan. I have very long, fine hair, was getting about 3 inches off. The picture here of me in the black shirt was the reference photo I gave. I was very specific that while I wanted long layers, I hate when, in the front, stylists try to frame my face, and i end up with chunks of hair in the front that are inches shorter than the rest. Nane agreed, that happens when people do it wrong. It's also exactly what she did.

Does the haircut look bad? Not at all, it's not terrible, it's an okay cut. But is it what I asked for? Not at all. I don't see any reason to go back and ask them to fix it, since that can't be done without cutting length off the rest. Armand was my hairstylist and he was kind. He was professional and crafty with the scissors. He given a haircut I truly wanted and needed to grow out my hair. I did a pixie cut last year and decided I wanted to grow out my hair brand new. I used to color and bleach my hair and it change textures of my curls. I have 3C type of curls if anyone was wondering. And I did a pixie to start my hair growth process for my curls to grow healthy again. I am a chameleon I love to change up my looks especially my hair. I’ve recently started going to Ponoci Hair Studio, I do not want to get my hair done anywhere else. I was looking for someone that could help repair some damage in my hair, and my stylist exceeded my expectations. In addition to repairing my hair, Ponoci is a great place to just relax. The entire staff is very friendly and professional, and they make the experience comfortable and enjoyable throughout.
