I was quite put off that, although I showed the clerk at the online pickup counter my phone displaying the email regarding my order which had the necessary barcode to identify my order which he was able to successfully scan to identify the order, still for some reason this gentleman thought it was necessary to check my ID. Despite the insult and subsequent effort by him to "craw daddy" out of his nonsense he kept trying to sell me, I still decided to give Macy's one more last, last chance after all the other times someone at Macy's pissed me off or my orders have been screwed up (the most severe being the refusal by Macy's to take any action to at least attempt to intercept, redirect or preemptively send back items shipped from the manufacturer that were slowly but surely making their way to an incorrect address on my profile which sadly was the family home a young lady who passed shortly after previously sending her a U of A graduation present and subsequent Christmas gift. Yeah, I couldn't even get someone at Macy's to contact the manufacturer nor UPS to try and stop men's suits and the free makeup kit gifted with that order from showing at a grandmother's house addressed to her late granddaughter over a year after her passing to be a perfectly timed reopening of an emotional.)
I suppose I should've been ecstatic that the item within the Macy's inventory network when ordered a month ago was not sent back after finally getting an email stating they were ready to be picked but were only guaranteed to be held for less than a week with the last day possible being Christmas Day (one of the holidays observed by Macy's on which all or most Macy's stores are closed! I don't even think the original Marshall Fields department store location in downtown Chicago is open on Christmas that I visited as a child with my parents during the holidays that barely deserves the Macy's patch over since many of the historic Marshall Fields aspects of the building were preserved and the lucrative Frango Mints candy line that Macy's has been blessed with lives on.)
l kept on and went around to pop some tags. Macklemore ain't got 'ish on me since I find things for $4.99 digging through the clearance racks and caps that are strategically placed and hidden behind the essentially same items that are five times more or or even more, that are brand new. At worst they may have been tried and/or returned and the very worst have a small stain, but the things for 99 cents at the thrift shop that he procured do many times indeed smell like, well, something not nice.
Mary was indeed very nice as she took the time to greet the customers on the floor even those of us that we're only going through the clearance racks, and although I could not be swayed by her attempts to convince me that a pair of 7 inch inseam pink shorts would be an appropriate buy for me we did have a laugh about it and I was happy that she happened to be at the cash register as soon as I was ready with all the things I did decide to buy. You're #$&@ing welcome and are blessed with this 5 star review because your blessed with an employee like Mary (young , Irish(ish) American female definitely from somewhere else or whose parents were from somewhere else besides...

Staff was no where to be found in the dept I was in. Had to go to another department for help. Issue was an exchange on a pair of pants for a Kenneth Cole suit. Retail was $400+ although I did get it at a heavy discount.
I needed to exchange the pants for another pair for an engagement photo shoot today. Incompetent staff at first register said they couldn't complete my return because I had removed the tag from the pants, even though I had a receipt. Had to go to the actual return department where they directed me back to men's suits and informed me to find a replacement pair of pants in my size.
Went to the suit department and found 3 other pairs of pants all with similar thread issues. I did manage to find a pair of pants on the shelf that WAS NOT ruined. Huffy older man at the register gives me major pushback on my return stating "I need the whole suit for a return" I told him that was not an appropriate solution seeing as I had the receipt, was on my way to a photo shoot and didn't want to drive back to my house just for an exchange. He eventually says "just take the pants" then he WALKS AWAY still leaving me holding a pair of pants with an alarm tag on them. When I told him this, he scoffed at me and waved for a younger associate to do it while he walked off with a 3 foot rice Krispy treats, which apparently was more important than customer service at this point. He also didn't care when I mentioned the three other pieces of damaged merchandise sitting on there shelf. BUYER BEWARE of quality while shopping here.
I stopped back at customer service desk on my way out to ask if they truly did need the entire suit for an exchange when I was told "no, you had a receipt". I asked if I was treated the way I was because of my age or how I was dressed and was told no.
I will not be returning to Macy's. I'll go to men's Warehouse or the like for any type of...
Read more5-STAR FURNITURE-BUYING EXPERIENCE
I recently had the pleasure of shopping at Macy's Furniture in Phoenix, Arizona, and I must say that my experience was truly exceptional, thanks to the unwavering assistance I received from their remarkable employee, Anna. If there were more than 5 stars available to rate her, I would gladly give them!
Anna is dedicated to helping customers find the perfect furniture pieces to suit their needs. She is attentive, kind, patient and knowledgeable. Anna didn't just want to make a sale; she was genuinely focused on making sure I left the store with furniture that I would be thrilled with for years to come. She went above and beyond to accommodate my needs.
I initially ordered my dream sofa on Macy’s website and scheduled the delivery for several months out since I recently moved to a different state. To my disappointment, Macy’s canceled my order the day before delivery, without any notice. This was extremely frustrating. This is where Anna came in… she worked tirelessly to find my dream sofa and was able to locate it after a week of searching (despite it being discontinued). She reserved it and re-ordered it for me for the same price I initially paid… and she was sure to keep me in the loop throughout the entire process.
Thanks to Anna's expertise and commitment to customer service, I am now the highly satisfied owner of a beautiful new sofa that I have looked forward to owning for over a year.
If you're looking for new furniture in the Phoenix area, I highly recommend visiting Macy's Furniture and asking for Anna. She is a gem among retail professionals, and her commitment to excellence is truly commendable. Thank you, Anna, for finding me my dream sofa, even after I had lost all hope… you are a shining example of exceptional customer...
