I am writing to let you know about a very disappointing experience I had this morning with the branch manager of the Portland Maine store. First let me start by saying I am 51 years old and I’ve been in the electrical industry since I was 18 Graybar was the first supply house that I ever shopped at. My boss at the time Michael LaPlante used to have myself and a couple other of us that work for him meet every morning at Graybar to get out of jobs and we would purchase our material that would be needed for the job at hand. In my 30+ years career I have exclusively used Graybar for all of my electrical needs. As of today that ends. I got a call this morning from Nate about wanting to know why one of his employees has seen boxes at UPS with my ship fromadress on them as well as some Graybar decals
Why is that any of the Graybar managers business? What I ship and who I ship it to. I buy products from Graybar I pay the appropriate price and the sales tax what I do with it afterwards is none of Graybar‘s business and furthermore, why does Graybar have people spying at UPS? They have an employee that works at both UPS and Graybar and he thought it be a good idea to document all my items that I am shipping and report back to the Portland manager. This is crazy so I have since reported this individual who works at both Graybar and UPS to UPS, who has begun an investigation, and will take disciplinary action and I just filled out a credit application with Gilman electric, as I don’t feel much like purchasing anything through Graybar anymore. The only way to win me back if you get a very formal and sincere apology from Nate about his phone call this morning. furthermore I may look into legal counsel on this matter, as it was an invasion...
Read moreThis company is so ridiculous. I’m doing a 4000 square-foot build out right now and I can’t even call them for pricing on lighting and then was informed by a guy on the customer service number that they’re five times more expensive, how would I know I can’t get pricing for anything. I’ve called three electrical supply stores so far and everybody just looked up the product and gave me a price, this place referred me to Home Depot where I know the overhead light I’m looking for is $130. CED in North Conway quoted me at $60 Gilman in Portland $68.... I would never do business with this company. I have never had to have my electrician, framers, drywaller‘s, HVAC guys call for pricing on any brand of item I’ve ever purchased. When I called the Portland location I was informed they only deal with the trades.
I’m looking for commercial led strip lighting for a 277, it wasn’t rocket science. I even had the SKU...
