I contacted Jon after getting involved in a very serious car crash nearly 2 years ago. I was laying in my hospital bed when we found him, and I had no idea what to do with anything life had just thrown at me. My injuries were so severe I knew there was no way I could handle it without some sort of representation, so my mom and I called him just to see what his idea was on the situation. I had no money, and no idea what to do about anything given I’d never been involved in anything larger than a fender bender. I knew I wasn’t at fault, but it quickly became such a big deal I was worried I wouldn’t be able to prove that myself. I spoke with Jon on the phone in the hospital where he offered to drive out to my house personally to hear my story in it’s entirety once I was released, at home, and somewhat comfortable. A week or two later he did exactly that, and sat next to me in my bedroom listening to everything that I could remember. He knew I was unable to walk due to injuries at the time, and refused to make me feel bad for that. That was my first real encounter with Jon and I was already beyond confident that I had picked the right lawyer. As time went on I found myself never having to even ask what was going on. I was always fully updated, fully informed, and he explained everything to me I could have questions about. He did everything he possibly could to make sure I was going to get everything I needed, at all times. There was a period of time where I was fairly depressed, rightfully so given everything, and he reached out to me with genuine concern and motivated me to get the help I needed. I reached out to Jon about questions that had nothing to do with my case at times because I just needed help and everytime without question he guided me where I needed to be. From wedding contract questions, ownership rights, I think even one time I asked something about debt, anything a girl in her 20s might not fully understand - he helped me understand if nobody in my family could. I cannot begin to explain how above and beyond this guy goes. Situations like the ones were often placed where we need a lawyer in are beyond stressful, aggravating, and often overwhelming. Working with Jon over the last 2 years there wasn’t a single moment in time where I felt anything but positive towards what he was doing to help me. It’s silly to say - but I actually cried once everything was said and done because he’ll make sure to simply be there for you more than you’d expect a lawyer to once you decide to have him on your team.
If you’re wondering whether you can trust the process with Jon, believe me, you could trust just about anything with him. This is my first experience ever needing a lawyer and I am absolutely sure there’s nobody else out there that could top what this guy...

Thank you and Roxy so much for all that you have done for me! I honestly do not have words that can adequately express the thankfulness I feel.
Because of my faith, I believe that God brings good (blessings) out of bad and everything that happens to me is an opportunity for me to learn from if I'm willing to keep my heart open. Nothing comes my way that He hasn't allowed for my good. This accident is a real example to me of this principle. I've had a vision, dream, heart's desire for almost 40 years to have an equine business where young people could come experience having their own horse, learn to ride and how to care for a horse in exchange for helping out around the stables. The vision is to have a place (a ranch) where we can offer riding therapy, riding lessons, horse camps and clinics to at risk youth and anyone wanting a horse experience in their life. We will also offer riding lessons and weekend respite/refresh outings for high functioning autistic children and their families. I have been able to do this on a small scale with our horses for my daughter's friends since Sarah got her first horse Heart's Desire at the age of 12. That was 26 years ago :-) We have an 11 year old surrogate granddaughter that was diagnosed at age 3 with high functioning autism. Gracie has been around the horses since she was 6 months old and hanging with the horses is one place she experiences peace. I have spent the last year and a half researching and working on ways we could buy an equine boarding/training facility with enough acreage to accomplish our goals. Before my surgery, I met with SBA multiple times. They had agreed to help me bring my vision to fruition by funding the purchase of an actively operating boarding business. This has had some challenges because most of the places for sale had shut down their boarding business and just put their "home" on the market. SBA's requirement from me at that time was 5% of the purchase price. Since I first met with them in March of 2017, we have added to our equine business experience by managing a boarding facility. Because of this settlement, I now have that 5% requirement!!! God has given me a HUGE blessing! This would never have happened without you Jon! Thank you for your experience, knowledge and expertise that helped bring about this end result :-)
I would like to come in tomorrow, Friday, not just to pick up this check but to personally thank you for what you did for me and how you did it...with integrity and wisdom.

Read moreI was in a cycling accident a little while back. Guy opened his door on me as I was riding by full speed. I thought it was pretty clear cut who was at fault and that I'd be able to get everything sorted out quickly. Who needs a lawyer, right? I was entirely wrong and so naive. Insurance was not accepting or doing anything with my claims. I couldn't even get any sort of confirmation whether they were even receiving my faxes (because they have some 3rd party doing the work). So much frustration... months went by with no progress so I finally decided I needed legal representation. I hired Jon Friedman.
I can very confidently say Jon is one of the most competent, intelligent, and responsive individuals I know. As a lawyer, he is absolutely fabulous. While I understand lawsuits may drag out for months or even years, I know if I have a question for Jon, he responds immediately. For me, communication is important. I never once felt like I was a distraction in an otherwise busy caseload of more important clients. And I truly appreciated not having to worry at all about that massive mountain of unprocessed claims. Jon straightened it all out.
For my case, Jon was able to get some results right away (before I even hired him) and then eventually succeeded in obtaining a very agreeable settlement. I like to compare his services to having the biggest, baddest kid on the playground in your corner. He was an incredibly effective advocate on my behalf and I will always be grateful to have had his help. Sometimes, you want or need help negotiating things in this world. On the legal front, I am super thankful there are people like Jon who are looking out for the needs of everyday people. I know who to call or refer others to should the need ever...
