I gave this restaurant 1* for the waitress/cashier's intend for trying to trick me by not honoring their happy hour pricing.

I verified with the waitress the happy hour pricing but as I was not given clear itemized bills and I realized the bill came higher than what I have ordered. This is a very bad business practice and the service was rude from the same waitress.

You may get the extra money from me or other customers that came for the happy hour "special" once but I will not recommend this place at all.

The food itself is mediocre. I am not sure how other Japanese turn belt sushi are in Portland but definitely average taste by LA standard. Sushi rice was bad and the fish quality were average at best.

Will not...

First time at a sushi bar with a conveyor belt. Delightful, to say the least. Super fun lunch sitting at the bar and just grabbing whatever looked good going by. Spoke with the chefs who were more than happy to put in any item not going around. The food was super fresh with hot items still hot and cold items still cold. Eating with 2 people and filled up more than we should've, but still got out of there for around $50. Clean and easy/bright atmosphere, and the service was excellent! Definitely a place to go back to. Ended on Black pepper tuna nigiri...this was so good I could've just eaten 10 plates...

Nice staff. Awkward experience. Go early.

We went about two hours before closing, but it felt like they were shutting down. Everyone was cleaning up and putting stuff away. Not many options on the sushi belt. The chef started cleaning up a few minutes after we sat down, and we only got one opportunity to order anything specific. When we did, it felt like an imposition. When we left (about 70 minutes before closing), three people came in for dinner and couldn't find any place to sit because nothing was set up.

Also, the sushi wasn't that impressive. Then again, we didn't really get to experience what...

Happy hour makes this place a major steal. They had a great selection of different options of rolls at such an affordable price. They do put too much cream cheese in many of the roles, but they don't scrimp on the other ingredients either. They had nigiri options available as well. Service was a little slow, which was a little disappointing as we read reviews that mentioned how attentive they are. A good inexpensive, americanized sushi place though.

OMG, it's so hard to find a good sushi train places and this one is by far one told the better ones. They have a tendency to focus on the salmon, but will admit that it is a serious high quality that definitely beats non-sushi train places. I had a nigiri and separated the rice from the fish so I can focus just on the rice. Omg, the rice was so good. I will definitely be back here and it's next to my other favorite place...luc lac!
