4 days after my serious head injury occurred at work in early 2022 luckily I realized I needed help with this and that I needed to talk to an attorney ASAP. Frankly I was scared and had no idea what to do, but I knew I needed help. When I met with Sydney Montanaro from Thomas, Newton, Coon and Frost I was treated respectfully, professionally and most important empathetically. This firm was the first and only that I called. My claim took up most of the entire year as I recovered. I most certainly would not have, and I mean would NOT have been able to properly recover and get the treatments and care I needed, much less the comp pay I needed to survive without Sydney on my side. She kept the insurance company in check and took so much stress out of an already incredibly stressful injury and recovery. Without her representation I would not have been able to heal and return to work healthy. It meant the world to me to have competent, helpful and caring representation throughout this process and I truly felt like Sydney and the firm had my back this entire time. Sydney was totally thorough and covered every facet of my claim with me. She always took the time to explain the process, the laws and legal philosophy (both the good and the bad) of the worker's compensation system to me when I had questions, of which I had many! Sydney and the rest of the staff communicated with me regularly and often both to ask me how I was feeling and to update me on the process. I highly recommend reaching out T,C,N & F, and specifically Sydney Montanaro for your workers compensation claim/injury. %100. It's worth it and you need someone on your side. If you have been injured you will need to recover, and it might take everything you have to do so. Not having to stress about the insurance process is a huge relief. I called them based off of reviews like this one and I am so glad that I did... so much so that I was compelled to write a review myself. Literally everyone I ever had to talk to at Thomas, Coon, Newton and Frost were honest, respectful and pleasant to work with which really makes a significant positive difference in the entirely and massively unpleasant experience of being injured at work. I highly and sincerely recommend...
Read moreCynthia Newton took my case when I had to change attorneys, there was only two months left to file my case for the mva, to meet the two year statute of limitations. I had lost confidence in the attorney I had since the accident and we mutually parted but it was not easy to find another attorney for my complex case that entangled workman's compensation and pre existing conditions. Thomas Coon was recommended by a friend of a friend attorney and he said whoever Mr. Coon works with in the firm will be good as well because he wouldn't have it any other way. It's true, and the attorneys have different areas of expertise and have no problem brainstorming with each other and consulting one another. Cynthia asked Chris Frost about how my workman's compensation would affect my case and I met with her as well. It's a one stop attorney shop, between all their areas they can handle just about anything it seems. It was my experience that they are careful about who they represent, they have to really believe in your case and Cynthia was straight forward from the start that I would not be adequately compensated for my losses but she would try for the policy limits from the at fault driver and my underinsured motorist insurance. We conferred throughout the whole process, and she always sought my approval first on her letters out. She has a good team of helpers, Kristin and Claire, who worked on my case even on the weekends from the email correspondence. I had a major surgery to worry about and knowing that my case was being taken care of took some of the stress off. Not all attorneys are like that. She knew what she was doing and represented me well, she took what she thought was relevant to make a good case from all the information I gave her and she looked over all my medical records carefully. She got the job done in the two months time. We had the best results we could have which will help a lot with my upcoming expenses. She had a good reputation with the adjuster from my insurance company and that gave us a lot of credibility. I highly recommend Cynthia, she is compassionate and has good rationale. Her team...
Read moreI am taking time out to say just how grateful I am to the Attorneys and Thomas Coon Newton & frost. In early 2017 I became disabled and unable to work. A successful career had allowed me to pay for Social Security Disability Insurance for over 30 years. When it came time to file my claim I started the process, but quickly became overwhelmed, and the first denial was pretty hard. I wish I had found TCNF sooner. It is an old cliche, but an apt one that once I met with Scott and Holly I felt a tremendous weight lift. It took almost 2 years to the day before I was finally given a hearing in front of a judge. A Month later a decision was rendered fully in my favor. A Month after that I finally received an award letter. Almost 2 months after receiving my award letter I Social Security started sending me paper checks (Even though Social Security nearly demands you set up automatic electronic deposit). Unfortunately that was not the end of my struggles. Social Security is under staffed, their systems are decades out of date ,highly inefficient, and the social security staff have nowhere near the support of automation found in most large service oriented organizations like Amazon, PGE, or ADP. Months started to pass after my decision, regular benefits started on time as stated in my award letter, but the “back pay” was nowhere to be found. Social Security made the decision and award over a year and a half after benefits should have started. This large lump sum was documented in my award letter, but months and months passed, and it still had not arrived. This is where My representatives at TCNF really came through. TCNF has resources, and information about how the system works, that is just not available to non-professionals, average citizens. It took 10 months after my hearing before things where settled, and TCNF helped me through it all. The staff at TCNF are experienced, diligent and get it done. I wish I had selected them sooner, and saved myself a ton of stress and...
