Let me start this by saying Charles (Charlie?) and his staff are great, however their tailor is horrific. That’s the nicest way I can put it. I was a regular shopper at Mens Warehouse in Tucson and went there for all my suit and dress shirt needs and the service was nothing but incredible. I felt great going in every time!
My first time going here was to pick up a suit I ordered online (from mens warehouse) I needed some adjustments made because I’m taller and my suit jacket needed to be a little wider, but the main focus was on the pants. I’m not extra picky about them but I like a slim taper past the knee which is something that other tailors have had no problems with and we’re happy to help!
Unfortunately the tailor at this particular mens warehouse is stuck in the 1980s because she felt that this type of taper would look “funny” - how derogatory you want to interpret that is up to you. After getting my pants I realized that the taper wasn’t done the way I wanted it but at this point I was done dealing with this issue and wanted to move on.
A couple of months later I decided to give this location another shot, I needed some more pants, mens warehouse has a custom pant option where you can get measured and order pants directly from the manufacturer. Generally that means skipping the tailor all together which would be a relief. However things change and now custom pants just mean they order 3 pair of pants with your waist size and the tailor finished the job.
You can see my problem with this.
After paying 570$ for 3 pairs of pants I was once again dealing with the same tailor. I told her that I want a slimmer taper past the knee. She once again told me that it wouldn’t look right and this time around she made some kind of excuse why she couldn’t do it. I said alright whatever you’re the professional I’ll trust your decision (she’s not a professional).
Two weeks later my pants were done, and once again they make me look like a public defender in a courtroom, and not the one you want fighting on your behalf.
If you want a mental image of what these pants look like, imagine a nice pair of dress pants that looks normal above the knee, and the closer you get to the ankle they get wider - leading to a burlap sack looking anomaly right where my shoes meet my pants.
So, if you want your requests heard and your sub 200$ pants not ruined right off the bat I suggest you find somewhere else to get your garments altered.
Again the guys in there, great. Tailor is not. I hear Daniels is better, check them...
Read moreMen's Warehouse seems to get a few unfavorable reviews, and speaking for myself I cannot understand why.
I have been shopping for my better dress clothes at Men's Warehouse for many years...and at Nordstrom's, Peter Miller's and a few others. Not just the Men's Warehouse in Prescott Valley, but their stores in Southern California as well. I have even had my military uniforms tailored by Men's Warehouse. Never a disappointment or complaint.
I had my first experience at Men's Warehouse in Prescott Valley earlier today. Arguably perhaps my best experience at Men's Warehosue yet. Why?
Because it is about the people, the service, the professionalism, their honesty, and that everyone my wife and I came into contact with "owned" their job.
It started with our initial entrance into the store and being greeted by Charlie (unbeknownst to us at the time, the store Manager). Charlie immediately put us at ease, asked a few pertinent questions to determine how best to take care of us, and then proceeded to be tremendous help.
We not only needed to find and purchase some new dress pants, but also presented Charlie with some considerable tailoring needs for 2 suits previously purchased at a So Cal Men's Warehouse four years ago when I weighed 45 pounds more.
Charlie introduced us to Lillia (професіонал), the head tailor/seamstress. Lillia took extraordinary time to talk with us and measure, and remeasure for the necessary tailoring required. Lillia, much like Charlie, a consummate professional, but in a different backend lane. Teamwork.
I haven't seen the end tailoring product yet, but I am more than confident it will be exceptional and well done. Well deserved kudos to both Charlie and Lillia...and to Men's Warehouse who have never, ever...
Read moreWhere to start. I live in Florida and my daughter was getting married in Sedona as a destination wedding. My wife and I arrived a day before the wedding and went right to the Men's Warehouse to try on the suit to make sure it fit. Well pants did not and jacket was a little long. At this point I was kinda disappointed but they made sure everything was perfect for the wedding at 3pm the next day. They called me the next day and actually delivered it to me 45 minutes from them. I only wish more businesses had the passion and caring for the customers that this place and employees had. I do want to add that it was not there fault at all, I had to do measurements myself because of unforseen problems in Florida. Thank you so much for making my daughter's wedding day perfect. I can't leave out a special thank you to Charlie and his team they made it...
