I have been coming into The Sacred Bean for a while now and I can not say enough about how amazing and incredibly wonderful it is to have them here in Pueblo. They are hands down my personal favorite of the local coffee shops for many reasons. 1. Of course the obvious which is the delicious coffee the owner Vicy and her talented baristas serve. They have a nice variety of flavors and do the most beautiful coffee/latte art I have ever seen. Here in Pueblo they are known for their vibrant "Razzle Dazzle" glittery colors and techniques. The coffee is always full-flavored and perfect. You can tell they take pride in serving the best coffee in town. 2. The food! Breakfast tacos are my favorite on the menu but they also do fun palatable specials weekly that are inclusive for anyone from vegan lovers to GF options and the most picky eaters. That flaming PB & J is to die for! The pastry case is full of great options from donuts, croissants, turnovers, and more, all baked fresh daily. 3. The most inviting and friendly owners and staff that call you by your first name and greet you as a friend when you walk in the door. I love that and I look forward to going in because of that vibe. The days of operation are also great because where most of the coffee shops are closed on Sundays, The Scared Bean is open and available which is perfect for those weekend coffee dates. 4. Lastly, they give to the community with so many generous and altruistic ideas from displaying local artists and vendors in their cafƩ, to fun events like Open Mic nights, charitable donations to the community, fun photo sessions that include their customers, promote other local small businesses, the list goes on endlessly. The Sacred Bean embodies all that a small business should and they do it with a level of commitment I applaud. I will always recommend them proudly and believe that they bring a unique experience you will...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI LOVE the Sacred Bean. I first discovered them through word of mouth while they were still serving coffee out of their awesome VW Van. Vicy was such a wizard with her creative and colorful lattes that I was sold. And since moving into the permanent space, even though itās hard to believe, the drinks have improved and expanded even more! (As have their food offerings)
My current favorite is to Potica latte, which I get with oatmilk. We have a big Slovenian influence in Pueblo, so I grew up having potica bread and was blown away to see it on a menu as a latte. It is delicious and I hope it never rotates off the menu. Iāve also hadāand lovedātheir Butterbeer latte (for all of you Harry Potter fans), especially when Vicky asks for your house name and colors the latte foam accordingly.
I wasnāt sure what to expect from their food since Iām not traditionally a pastry lover at coffee shops, and had therefore never tried their food during the van days. This time, however, I had a rose and macadamia nut donut that was fantastic. It was light, moist, tasty (but not overly sweet), and surprisingly filling for its petite serving size. Iām looking forward to trying more of the food items on their menu in my future visits.
The only current downside is that there just isnāt much seating inside. Iām sure they will add more as the business grows, but itās hard to find a spot to sit and work at for a while, as I like to do on occasion. Fingers crossed that theyāre able to get some additional/larger tables and comfier chairs for remote workers and writers like me in the very...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy family and I just tried this place today and all I can say is, āitās AMAZING!ā I like the vibe of this place, itās simple but relaxing, I love their Monte Cristo Croissant, š„ very delicious! My husband had their Green Goddess Avocado toast, and the dressing tasted great! We also tried the coffee flight and picked Pistachio Nutmeg, Mazagran, Espresso Lemonade and Mocha. My favorite is the Mocha and Espresso Lemonade, my husband really likes the Mazagran especially when you squeeze the slice of orange in it. He also tried their tea. It was also great. I forgot the name but itās something with lemon and elderberry, canāt exactly remember what but he asked to have a little bit of mint in it. I had the Superfood Latte and it was the bomb! (I apologize I forgot the name of the flavor I picked, but it was the last one in the options and itās something cacao.) I know, I wish I took a picture of their full menu.
I highly recommend this place. Pueblo locals and tourists should stop by here! We will definitely go back and try the rest of their menu. šš
Also, the staffs are very welcoming and...
