I rarely do bad reviews of places, but this was my first time stopping at Boot Barn in Racine with my online return and to do some shopping. My first impression upon arriving inside was being witness to the manager, Kristy, berating her sales associate, Alina in front of me, the customer, for not ābeing up frontā. It was very awkward and uncomfortable to watch and listen to it. Very unprofessional on the managerās part. I literally had just walked in and was not waiting very long at all. Not to mention, the manager was not very welcoming or helpful to me especially with the return process that she didnāt offer any information about. Was not impressed with her. On the other hand, Alina was very helpful to me in taking my items to a dressing room, getting something off a mannequin for me and taking my things to the register while I still shopped. Her shift ended before I was done but I asked for her name so that she could get my sale. Alina was very polite and mannerly. She was dressed appropriately for the store and had the customer service skills and smile youād also expect from the manager. And she came over and knocked asking if she could hold my baby while I tried some stuff on. Then let me shop around while she played with my baby. This meant so much more than she knew. I came in to have a hat reshaped but unfortunately it was damaged by the store associate who was handling it. It was not intentional. Kristy proceeded to educate the staff on how to avoid this incident from happening again in the future. Kristy then followed a chain of command to handle the situation to the best of their ability.
