Woodman's Racine, please explain why this location does not process a check when the Kenosha and Oak Creek locations do!???!!! Three plus hours of major grocery shopping wasted!! Visited each section of the store and made a purchase, or multiple purchases were made, digital coupons on the app were used, as well as multiple in store coupons. A cart overflowing with groceries!! All the groceries went through the check out and into bags, a total over $430, and as the check was being written with my identification ready, just to be told checks are not accepted at the Racine location, only cash, debit, or Discover. While I stood there in disbelief, the other patrons in line grew impatient. I could not produce $430+ in cash, I do not carry that much cash on me, I do not have a debit card, and I only have two credit cards, Mastercard and Visa. After shopping for three hours, I was so defeated, frustrated, and tired, I literally walked out of the store sobbing, and without the groceries I spent all that time selecting!!! I hope Woodman's took pleasure in putting away the two full carts of groceries!!! Really?? There was no other way this could have been handled??? The result, an extremely frustrated, unhappy customer. I went to my local Piggly Wiggly and they happily accepted the money I planned on spending at the Racine Woodman's, oh, and Piggly Wiggly took my credit card payment (they also accept...
Read moreAs an autistic individual I can have a difficult time going to new places especially on my own but I was genuinely excited to shop here. I've heard nothing but good reviews about woodman's but my experience was anything but. I didn't realize that they didn't accept credit so when I got to the self checkout on Tuesday August 19 shortly after 12pm and saw a sign stating they only accepted Discover/Debit I verified with the associate just to make sure before I went to put everything away (my credit card does not have a debit function) I was thrown back by the attitude he decided I deserved for having the audacity to ask a question. He tried to tell me all credit cards have debit and when I told him mine didn't he scoffed at me, made a face and began to talk down to me. At that point I decided I had enough and I was definitely not going to extend the courtesy of putting away the items so I thanked him for his rude attitude and walked out the door. I am absolutely disgusted with the way I was treated and would encourage Woodman's to place a larger emphasis during training on treating others with respect, especially those with disabilities just trying to make sure they understand the situation fully. I ended up going to Pick N Save to...
Read moreAlways visited Kenosha and I was excited for this location. However here are my complaints as a frequent shopper. I was hoping for better carts. As a mom of twin toddlers, double carts would be nice. I know I’m not the only one with two kids that need to be seated. Costco and Aldi have normal double carts, why are we still getting these massive bus-like contraptions to lug around the store?! The my don’t even fit through the regular check out lanes! Also there were only 2 at this location so I had to walk to the opposite side of the store to find one. There are NO conveyor belt self checkouts. Kenosha has long ones for large amounts of groceries to be done yourself, which again, as a mom to twins in a giant bus cart contraption, was my main mode of checking out. Now I can’t do that because there is a 20 and 10 item max and the 20 item space is so small. It’s such a mess. I don’t understand how in 2025 we have yet to figure this out. It’s a grocery store where people by many many items at a time and yet are given the smallest self check out options.
I was excited for the convenience of the store, again, I’ve been going to Kenosha my whole like for groceries, but was let down with the accessibility for moms with multiple...
