I feel the need to tell you all what happened at Macy's in Ramsey. I lost my engagement ring there on Tuesday night. I went to Macy's and Wegmans. When I realized the ring was gone, Macy's was already closed. I stupidly put the ring in my wallet without securing it in the zipper compartment and it apparently had fallen out of my wallet without me knowing. I was devastated that my ring was gone. I called Wegman's and no one turned in the ring. On Wednesday morning, I waited in the parking lot at the Ramsey Macy's until it opened. I waited with a wonderful woman I met in the lot, Joan, who happens to live in the same town as me. She waited with me, she gave me some really great advice and stayed right with me. When I entered Macy's, there were 2 sales people at the counter. I told them what had happened. The 1 woman said, YES, someone found a ring last night! I got so excited but I was cautious. The other sales person went to the offices and a few minutes later she returned with my engagement ring in her hand!! I cannot tell you how amazed I was. Whichever sales person found my ring and did NOT TAKE IT, you are AMAZING! I could not be more thankful to you for "doing what was right." Thank you, from the bottom of my heart! I got engaged in 1983 and married in 1984, I was heart-broken and your sales people restored my faith and there are GOOD PEOPLE in this world. Thank you so very much, especially to the person in the store who found my ring!!! Macy's, please honor this salesperson, they...
Read moreWell, it ain't no 34th St. I got lured into this mini-Macys by an After Christmas Sale sign. It wasn't only the store offerings that were limited, so was staff. There was no one on the floor, which would have been less bad if there had been price tags on the items. I brought some sneakers I liked to the check-out register, and they called by intercom for "Help in Footware" (whispering to one another about 2 AWOL Managers), but no-show. While waiting around, I found pants I liked, without prices, but with a sign that said 50% Off. Well, sales are what I came in here for, so I took my chances. I vetted them, tried some on, chose some, and then waited in the long line at the Register to find out what kind of deal I was going to get. No, no deal. They're not on sale. I guess the generic 50% Off Sign that doesn't specify the sale items was in the wrong place. What a waste of my time, I said to her. Did you get help with those sneakers, she says. No, I say, no one ever showed up, so I gave up. Just then some floor help comes out of the wings with a not-happy face, and she gets mobbed by several women in Shoes who have been waiting. Do you want her to help you? ...
Read moreStrange encounter, I originally walked in just use the bathroom really quick, but then I saw the perfumes near the front of the store and just really quick went to go sniff a couple because I’ve seen them a lot on TikTok. I was minding my business for a quick second, and then I turned to my side where an employee arrived to stand in the front and pretend like he was doing something. Now, Nothing was entirely weird until I walked away and started to Make my way towards the exit. The employee turned towards me and he didn’t look me in the face, but instead looked directly at my hands. That felt really off to me. And it gave me the impression they thought I was going to steal something which was off putting. Not sure if that’s a common thing that happens in this area or what. But as soon as I made my way towards the door, he left that area. I felt the need to say something about it online. I wanted to see if anybody else felt like there was racial profiling or discrimination...
