Not 24 hours. Even though i live one minute away from the Redmond location, i always have to go to Issaquah or Lynwood. Cannot give higher than 1-star for a 24-Hour-Fitness that closes at 8pm.
Don't bother going to this gym after 2pm. Because they close so early (earlier than any other gym franchise) it gets extremely busy after 2pm and impossible to do any kind of workout regimen. Multiple times i have attempted it after 2pm. I walk in, see the zoo, and immediately walk back out. I'm very flexible with my workouts and have 3-4 backup plans if my equipment is in use, and that is often not enough as all of them will be occupied.
The gym has a whole fleet of assorted types of benches and seats in front of the dumb bells (incline, flat, decline, seats). After 2pm, you're not getting an incline bench unless you work-in. What confuses me is why not just have all incline benches, since you can do anything with them? They can be used as a flat bench, they can be used as a seat (and are actually superior to seats). Instead, they limit the number of incline benches and make them super competitive to get. Just terrible planning.
This gym has a very high amount of people under the influence or just mentally unwell. The only place i see crazier people is Capital Hill at midnight.
All the equipment smells awful and is frequently broken due to everyone abusing the equipment.
I work at midnight and it would be so nice to drive 1 minute to hit the gym before work. Instead, they close at 8-10pm, and i have a narrow window to hit this gym between noon and 2pm, after my 12-hour shift. Again, this gym is unusable between 2-8/10pm because of the volume of people. I sometimes will use my lunch breaks at 3am to drive 25 minutes to the Issaquah location which is 24 hours. But i just feel taken advantage of doing it this way. Likely going to switch to PF or LA since they have longer hours...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMANAGEMENT: PLEASE put up more signs that people NEED to shower before getting into the hot tub. I see sweaty people of all shapes and sizes crawling in and out of there to the point where there is yellow foam just circulating in the middle of the tub.... You clean your hot tub once a week. So gross.
EDIT: After over a year of this review being up and 3 years of membership, I've modified it to one star. I don't know what happened, new management? The weights are NEVER put away, employees just socializing at the front rarely say hi to me anymore. I think the employees signing up new members just aren't telling them that you can't drop the weights, and to put them back when you're done. For some reason there aren't enough clips to cover all the benches so you have to wonder around trying to find them. Nearly every shower is going to have ziplock bags, old tissue, broken soap dispensers ect. It's just not fun anymore. Last night I asked an employee if he could help me out by re-racking some of the weights (there was an entire weight tree with NO 25's 10's 5's or 2.5's on it) and he looked at me straight in the eye like he was about to kill me then said "fine, I can do that now". He then LEFT the front area, including the merchandise which is a no-no, and was gone for 30 minutes. He never went and re-racked the weights. Some blonde guy with blue eyes about 23 years old - don't go asking him for ANYTHING.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: I've been coming here nearly every day for 2 years. The gym has a great selection of equipment and is rarely overcrowded. They really need to clean the floors more thoroughly around the freeweight racks by the front window, it seems like something died. There was a few month span where I asked them once a week to clean the swimsuit drying machine in the men's locker room as it also smelled, but it never got done so I dropped it. I like the gym...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreItās unfortunate how they donāt care too much about the client service. I had a postpartum complication earlier this year that led to three hand surgeries and Iām still under PT/recovery. For obvious reasons I havenāt being able to return to my workouts and asked to the staff to freeze my account after having my baby. No further info was provided about for how long it would be frozen until I received a large charge to my cc like three months after. I explained my situation and they refund me the money and froze my membership for six months. Shortly after, they charged me again a short amount ($15) + the annual fee. Trying to speak to a manager is hard, the front desk staff will always leave a note on his desk to call me back later. Waiting for a call back and responses the time passed by and the charges turned out non-refundable. I finally got to speak with the manager today, and explained him my health situation (which is temporary) the charges and my account status. He didnāt care about offering solutions or to refund the $15 they charged me without even stepping inside the gym for about 8 months. At the end the money doesnāt care too much, is the kind of business Iām supporting. It was sad to me to ask him to cancel my subscription but even more to hear his āokā without caring about the client interest. P.S. The Zumba classes are not the best (as a Latino woman who likes Zumba. Tho the Pilates are nice. The pool area is very dirty and so the showers/lockers are. I never complaint about those things because of the convenience of the location, but now I feel like they like to take advantage of the...
