This review is for the disappointing catering experience we had with Happy Lemon's Redmond location. Our order failed to be delivered during the time window they previously confirmed, finally arriving after a 75 minute delay. It was purportedly because of issues with their sealing machine. The drinks themselves were good but the communication was frustrating and unprofessional.
After the very late arrival and a mad scramble for us to unpack/set out the drinks for the remaining guests still present, the manager didn't offer to rectify the situation and apologized only after being addressed about the huge delay. At that point he offered to deduct the $50 delivery fee and pushed back on providing any further discount, but begrudgingly agreed to a 10% in the end. Despite saying they've handled large catering orders successfully, their business struggled mightily in scaling appropriately to deliver our particular order of 175+ drinks on time.
I cannot endorse this shop for catering. The saturated Eastside boba market has other shops with equal or superior offerings and a higher standard of service when catering an event with milk tea...
Read moreNot the nicest employees… I order online so I don’t interact with them much but they keep the online orders behind the counter so you have to ask an employee for your order and they always act like it’s an inconvenience and try to avoid eye contact so they won’t have to help you and just wait for the next employee. For example the girl working today acted very annoyed when she had to hand me my order because she and her coworker were in the middle of a conversation - I also work in food service so I understand having fun with your coworkers is usually the best part of the job but if you are ignoring customers and being rude when you finally help them, then maybe food service is not the industry for you 😬 delicious...

They have also messed up my order of 8 drinks 2x. The first time, the sinkers I paid for were not in the 8 drinks but I only realized it when I got home and I didn't want to drive all the way back. The second time, all 8 of my drinks were wrong. I paid for sinkers and more expensive drinks. I only saw it the next morning when I tried one.
