I normally patronize the Issaquah location but was in Redmond with my business partner and we were hungry after a busy morning... Honestly, this was the worst experience I've had in any restaurant in a very long time... We were seated right away and our drink orders were taken but it probably took almost 10 minutes for my non-alcoholic drink to come and another couple of minutes beyond that for someone to bring my partner's bar drink. They took our orders for food and almost 30 minutes passed before we even saw our server in our section again. When they brought out the meals they clearly had been sitting for quite some time and the fries were cold. Something between 5 and 10 minutes passed before we were able to flag down someone who wasn't our server to tell them that I needed new fries. Another 10 minutes passed before they brought any. It was really quite unacceptable in the middle of lunch time not to be able to get an order of freshly made fries in less than 10 minutes. You know that they had stacks of them in the back but they weren't being brought out to our table... My burger was almost raw in the middle. I waited on almost another 10 minutes to find the server again to take it back and I had been trying to make my way through the burger picking around the raw parts and ultimately just gave up. We were there for almost an hour and 10 minutes for two burgers with fries and two drinks and most of that time was spent waiting. It was not extraordinarily busy. If they have been slammed I could have understood it. If there was nobody in there I actually could have understood it. But this was there were tables occupied and there were servers available and it still wasn't right. No adjustment was made to our bill at all for any inconvenience but I did notice when I got my credit card statement that the bill had been adjusted down somewhat. I'm not sure how they decided how much to take off but they did take off something. That would have been the right thing to have done to my face while I was there in the restaurant. After the fact, it was interesting but not relevant not to be able to speak to a manager, even to find a manager, at the time this was going on. We'll still go to the Issaquah location but this is actually the second bad or almost bad experience at the Redmond location so I likely won't...
Read moreThe food was good but the service left something to be desired. When we arrived we expected to have to wait. It was a Friday night. We gave the hostess our name, which she got wrong, and told her there were two of us. We were told it would be 20-25 minutes, no problem. Another couple came in about 5 minutes later and checked in then sat down. Less than 5 minutes later they were called to a table. When I checked with the hostess, in case she missed us, I was told that it was because they only had two. I told her we only had two and were there before them and she said she had us down for four. We finally got to a table and, I timed it, nobody came to us for 11 minutes. Finally a wait staff was going by and dropped a napkin which my wife picked up for her and she asked if anyone had been there yet. She was not our wait person and had she not dropped the napkin who knows how long we would have sat there. We placed our drink order with her. Someone else brought our drinks. Finally after another almost 15 minutes our wait staff came to our table. We placed our order including an appetizer and a to good order. My wife could see the food holding area and shortly after we placed our order a short stack of onion rings showed up. I began timing and seconds short of 12 minutes the onion rings were removed and delivered to us. I checked them and they were barely warm. There were sent back without replacing. Our food was delivered by a different person. The hamburgers were delicious. We had not been asked how we wanted them done and even though it was cooked more than I normally like it was still very good and juicy. Shortly after we finished eating our wait person informed us there was going to be a delay on the to-go order since they were backed up. I told her to forget it since we had to go. The manager did come to speak with us. The manager made sure the appetizer and to-go were removed from the check and gave us a gift card for our troubles. I initially declined the card but her insisted so I took it. His actions were appreciated and we most likely will go back but unfortunately it will be with some poor...
Read moreMy wife and I have had many poor experiences at this Red Robin, but this time was so frustrating that I had to write a review.
We got there about 5:45 pm on a Monday, there were a decent number of customers but not overly busy. We were seated right away and told that the server would be over shortly. He came over and took our drink orders, a soda for me and a milkshake (no whip or sprinkles) for my wife. He came back about 5-7 minutes later with my drink asking if we were ready to order. We said yes, we ordered an appetizer and our food. I finished my drink, and in about 7 minutes the appetizer came out. He came back about 5 minutes later asking how the appetizer was. I said salty and asked for a refill and asked about the milkshake. He said he'd go get it right now. While he was gone our food came out. He came back with the drinks, but the milkshake had whip and sprinkles on it. I said something and he said he'd go take care of it. He came back 2 minutes later with the whipped cream just scooped out of the same cup, you could see the residue on the sides. I finished another soda while we ate our food. After we were done eating, he came back over and asked if we needed anything. I said a to-go container for the milkshake, he left, and came back 7 minutes later with a cup. I spoke to a manager afterwards and was told, "he's new".
If you want better service go to the other Redmond...
