Me and my wife attempted to enjoy the pizza and burger night on the 27th of July 2019 right at 5 pm but were very unpleased with the lack of service so we got up and left. We had walked in and there was a table of four and three young ladies at the register getting there coffee order. We sat at the bar and waited until the ladies finished getting there order and left, about 3 to 4 min total, there were two employees neither of them say anything to us, eventhough we were only about five feet away and they both glanced up at us a couple of times. The reasons we left was that it was quite obvious that the service sucked ( sorry to be so blunt ) but while sitting there the only other table that there had to get up and ask if they had forgotten to get them their wine they had ordered, the waitress sad you didn't order any so she went over to the tickets and looked and sure enough it was on the ticket she apologized and got the wine. These things happen. By now it's been a total of about 5 to 7 minutes and a couple more glances from the two wait staff and still no hello, I'll be right with u, or any words at all so we left. We had been there one other time because we had heard good things and seen a short blurb on t.v.. That time the service was slow not very personable but just O.K., and the food was ok not great, so we thought we would give it another chance. WE WON'T BE BACK. We aren't crazy picky people at all we just like to be treated like others would like to be treated. Hope your...
Read moreI really wanted to love this place because it had been highly recommended, but it was lacking in several areas. The coffee and customer service was pretty good. Everyone was friendly and seemed to care about the customers! This place has a neat vibe and I was excited to see that the kitchen was mostly open to the dining room so we could see what was happening. Here's where the trouble started. It was painful for me to watch the disorganization and inefficiency happening in that kitchen. On the surface everything looked clean, neat, and organized. But there was so much running back and forth for some forgotten ingredient and using one hand (instead of two) to move rolls from the pan to a bowl - it's no wonder our food came out slowly and in trickles. The food itself LOOKED amazing but across the board was bland and lacking. (The four other people in my group said the same thing.) It has a lot of potential but needs some serious flavor therapy. And salt. Even the baked goods we got for dessert looked amazing but were dry and kind of missing something. The exception was my mom's almond(?) croissant! It was melt-in-your-mouth perfect! I would love to see this place up their game and succeed, but in the meantime I probably won't do much more than order coffee from the drive-thru. And maybe an...
Read moreI went to Ethos yesterday and was in the shop for about two mins before anyone greeted me. There were two workers at the counter and I was the only customer. Finally, an employee asked me if I needed something which is odd because it’s usually assumed I wanted something? I asked if they had brownies. The girl said no they didn’t. She then turned and walked off. I approached the other counter and they did have brownies. S’mores brownies. I waited to see if someone could come back to help me buy two of them and no one came back. I left. This is not the first time it’s been like this at Ethos. I had gone to their store in the uptown and then to the original store trying to get a brownie for my granddaughter. I was hoping to find her one and was looking forward to telling her the brownies were from Ethos!
Sorry, but if this is how they are I won’t be back. Especially considering they are fairly expensive. So thank...
