JCPenney Portraits — Local services in Riverdale

I will never go here again. I’m done. I have been supporting them for over 15 years since they were apart of target. I’ve decided it’s time to look else where. The prices keep going up. They not only now charge for a sitting fee, which they didn’t use to do but they also charge $10 for shipping your pictures which is required. You can’t come pick them up. And they blame that on Covid. 🙄 Plus the individual print prices keep going up. They charge for everything. Not to mention I have always wanted standard photos to replace my kids school photos and I swear they have a limit on how many pictures they can take. This last time they didn’t even get a one good picture. Their solution is that we come back and try again. My kids were not the problem. They are older. It was the photographer. They don’t know how to take pictures. Placing the kids in the most weird awkward poses and then not catching when my son’s shirt was folded wrong so that ruined that pose. They insist on creating collages and other arrays of pictures when I specifically say what I want and that’s not it. And please have the desk coworker cover up her chest. I did not need my teenage son to see that. It was the same last year. She needs to dress more professionally. This place needs professional guidance. With all this said, I do believe the workers were doing their best and were never rude but they need to be taught how to take pictures and their standard of dress...

I should have read the reviews first!! Oh my goodness it was horrible!!! The photographer made me feel so rushed and kept yelling and smacking the ground to get my daughter to look up. It scared her so bad!! She looks terrified in all the photos!! To make matters worse I had entered into a "drawing" for a chance to get photos taken. The poster advertizing the session said enter to win!! Then when they called me they were like you were selected from our drawing!! So I thought I was getting a free session maybe would have to buy photos but that's it then when I got there and had the pictures done they were like okay you owe us this much for our time and then for whatever photos you want and I was like what do you get for winning the drawing? They were like yeah there's been some confusion with that.... you don't get anything. You entering into that was just showing interest. And I'm like no kidding there's been a bunch of confusion with that! The poster says enter to win I didn't win anything! So upset with my treatment here I will no longer support the JCPenney chain. And will be sure to share my experience...

I took my newborn, we were able to get a couple photos. (which is the reason for the 2 stars.) I knew they would offer the most expensive package everyone needs sales that didn't bother me .. the things that made me not want to go back was the photographer. After feeding my baby as they suggest before photos she bounced him around like a rag doll. He was crying so she put him in sitting position on her chest (face to face saying SHHHHHHHHH!! Basically spitting on my baby's face ) this squished his belly making baby spit up. She made very loud high pitch noises in my baby's ear which made baby stressed. The photographers nails were full of black gunk, she did not wash her hands before handing my child. Also even though another's baby had spit up on a peice of fabric she used the same one on my baby not telling me until it was on. There needs to be more strict cleansing rules and ensure they are followed. These are precious babies with little to no immune system they...
