Kohl's — Local services in Riverside

Their associates/cashiers need better training. I tried to use the Kohls app to pay which has KohlsPay to include my kohls cash and credit card for “convenience”, but the cashier tells me to use my physical card. What’s the point of the app if I have to carry around the physical card? Instead, we try doing the card lookup instead and I ask to apply my $5 kohls cash which he says will work after I input my SSN for the card lookup. I input the information and the transaction goes through without even applying my kohls cash. He says oh it went through with the 15% off applied (which didn’t do anything because of specific exclusions to certain items) but that was not what I asked for . He then tells me, oh well the transaction already went through and you can still use your Kohls cash next time.

WERE IS THE HELP! HORRIBLE! I LOVE KOHL'S and that's the only reason I'm giving this location 2 stars plus the cleanliness, but where are the associates? I visited this location three times and each time the line was long only 2 lines open while 15 people at least are waiting! ...If I wanted Walmart service I would shop there, where there's 20 lanes and NO HELP! This location rarely have associates! None in the departments, none in the fitting room, only ONE associate working at the Amazon pop up booth in the middle of the store assisting Amazon returns oh yes!.. and in the Kohls return area where 15 plus people also waited with only one associate aiding and assisting customers in both areas! As always great service and products. This is quite a large store for Kohl's, and it seemed the selection was low, maybe it was because of when I visited. Otherwise very clean and presentable. Alyssa checked us out and was quite happy to be there which made my visit quite pleasant. LP had work todo during our visit, but that didn't distract us from shopping at all, very professional.

Jan 2023 update. Went to two Kohl's stores today and they had weird layouts for the clearance. Two things reminded me of when companies go through liquidation close out sales, one is that all the clearance prices weren't really "Kohl's" clearance prices so I was underwhelmed with shopping and barely spent $60 between both stores. Second is that every shelf had the same "sale" which was BOGO 1/2 off. Again, felt sketchy to see sales like this, most likely going to stop...
