Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Rockport

Haven't used Pizza Hut in quite some time decided we would give them a chance. We called in, gave them the address, placed our order, gave them all of the card information, they proceed with the order and say will be out there in 80 minutes which is ridiculous to begin with. They then called us back about five minutes later and said that they could not deliver to this location that apparently 7.1 miles away is too far. However, Dominos will deliver to this location and is in the same damn town. And Dominos said it would only take 40 minutes for the exact same order to the exact same location. I decide I'm going to call Pizza Hut and talk to a manager it just kind of explain the situation and the frustration and just so they're aware. The first two phone calls forward me to a busy tone the third phone call I have an employee who's taking down my information to give to the manager and that employee hung up on me mid-sentence. I'm not really sure what kind of business this place is trying to operate. The service I just received and the amount of disrespect I just received is not only ridiculous but absolutely infuriating. And to top things off this is not the first time I've had a bad experience with Pizza Hut just recently I was ordering a humongous order for an RV Resort for Super Bowl Sunday. Not only could they deliver there, which is 2 miles further south from where I'm at now . . . . . figure that! But the lady on the phone gave me and my other employee extreme attitude and disrespect and that day we also chose Dominos. It's actually ridiculous and he's have something done about it that's all I have to...

I am going to start this review off with if I could give this location -5 stars I would. It’s my son’s birthday and he loves Pizza Hut pizza and we were visiting from corpus so we figured let’s get him what he loves. It said it would be ready in 20 mins (which is normal). This experience was anything but normal. I pull up to the drive through line and I wait about 7-10 mins and the line never moved. I was thinking odd but okay I’ll go inside. What I saw when I went was more than 10 people waiting for pizzas. Most were for door dash. It looked like a dmv waiting area. I wait and wait and no one comes to the counter. So I popped my head around the corner and asked if I and another lady could be helped. Both of our pizzas should have been ready over 20 mins. Tyler Driver ( maybe a driver or a last name) comes up in a cut off shirt. Which isn’t professional in any food business due to armpit hair could fall on the food. I asked if I could get my order and he says we might have it we may not let me go look. Mind you the whole warm rack is FULL of food ready to be picked up/ delivered. I see him walk back and forth and going through every pizza to try to find mine. He comes back and says I could only find 2 of the 3 pizzas. Like wait what?!? I’m appalled. So I ask how long would it be to get my 3rd pizza and he replies I’m not sure the back is slammed. I walked out and got food someplace else. I understand people and businesses have bad days, but this is a chain resturant. It’s supposed to be stream lined. So I’m not sure where the lackadaisicalness came from but I would not eat at this...

Update #3: It's 9/21/24...no response to my email. So basically the owners put that canned response at the bottom of bad reviews and then do absolutely nothing about it....good to know.

UPDATE: I got a reply from the owner (see below) who asked me to email them with more details. I emailed that email at like 6:30 am on Friday (8/23)....still waiting for a response. Perhaps it is taking so long because it is the weekend....maybe? Update #2 is coming! Called at 8:15 pm on a Sunday night (8/18). Had to repeat my entire order and information to the woman on the phone twice. Got a text at 8:50 something saying my order would be delivered between then and 9:06 pm. By 10 pm, I'm calling asking where is my order. I'm told another 20 minutes. I tell them to cancel the order cuz we were going to bed. I get transferred to another number that never gets picked up. I hang up and call back and explain to another person what happened who also transfers me to escalations. I get a person this time. Meanwhile, the driver shows up, and it's 10:15 pm, and she says she just picked it up from the store. But the pizza is barely warm. Lady on the phone says we get $10 off our next order but we don't even live here. She says the credit is attached to my phone number, but I'm not holding my breath. Pizza was blah. Oh and the pizza joint is 1.1 miles from the hotel we were at. In what universe does it take 2 freakin hours to...
