Been going here for 4 years since I moved here after the fires and was able to practically refurnish my house with beautiful antiques from here spending hundreds of dollars here. However recently I went and was treated like scum by an old Hispanic man. Quite literally shooed away and he wouldn't look at my donations. I've never been turned away for donations and he called it junk without even opening the bag ( it had a brand new 60 dollar Contigo thermos with tags still on it and a steel tray also with tags on it) Ended up throwing away some really beautiful things people could have used. Won't ever be going back because of how he treats people. I don't donate junk. I'm a fire victim who knows all to well how gross people donations can be and am beyond shocked he wouldn't even open the bag to see what we had to give and immediately insulted us. Definitely won't go back to a racist group. I have a feeling I know why they keep him in the back he is terrible for business..bummer because this was the only decent...
Read moreSt Vincent de Paul does good I'm not sure if it's just the proceeds that go all to their cause which is giving vouchers for food and providing clothing to those in need. However, besides books they're way overpriced. Children's books are $0.50 and regular paper backs are $, but I saw many shirts (that even had rips in them) for $17.99 for example; and that is just way too much for a thrift store. They also had a beautiful table by a local Craftsman but it was $5,000! they do deliver and have a huge showroom of furniture, but in my opinion the furniture was very yucky ...but it's there if that's what you're looking for. A lot of okay finds if you're willing to reupholster...
