I have been coming in to this branch for a few years to get my earrings cleaned. Every time I came in in the past, the store was always busy, understaffed, and it would take a while for them to get to me for a simple clean. However, the result would be satisfactory.
This time though, the experience really left a mark. I came in to get one of the earring backs replaced because I had lost it. I came in with the earrings in the box from Kay, one of the store staffs took the earrings and they went away to also clean it.
After cleaning it, they presented the earrings on a flat surface for me to inspect it only for me to find out that it was not clean yet, debris and shampoo accumulation were still present. They did not do a thorough job. They used a solution to clean it where the jewelries are dipped into the solution for a minute or two to let it do its job. Solely relying on the solution without doing a quality check is NOT a service. How can you present your client a half-done job without checking it?
So I sent it back for a second round clean and again they did not check it. I had to point it out to them. Third round clean, it was much better though not perfectly clean, but I did not want to spend another minute waiting. At this point, their service was already downright disappointing and they did not care on doing additional steps to improve.
While they did replace my earring back with a replacement fee of $63 (not including tax yet), they were already screwed in the earrings and instead of taking the initiative to unscrew them and put them back nicely in the box that it was brought into, I was put in an awkward situation that I had to do all those while they were just staring at me slowly unscrewing and retrieve the box that was on the other side of the store.
All in all, (1) staffs here really need to be trained on doing end-to-end customer service by taking ownership of the whole process, (2) do quality checks over speed in doing the job, and (3) look presentable for the brand instead of showing up in a...
Read moreWorst experience ever. Id even go as far as to say I had a billion times better experience with every car dealer I've met. My girlfriend and I have been dating for four years and were looking for an engagement ring.
Pros: nothing
Cons: 'Sales' are fake. They have one ugly necklace/ring on 'sale' to drag everyone into buying something else. They push several rings onto you and FORCE you to pick one from them. They belittle you with snarky comments such as 'does your parents know that you guys are getting engagement rings? (and let me say we are mid twenties and have graduated from college and live on our own prepping for professional schools -.-)' and end with 'did you have fun?'
id say if you really love being treated like you're worth nothing and be rushed into buying a ring that you don't really like (esp for an engagement ring) this place would be perfect. I would've easily bought a ring from this store since we've been looking around for few months, but just how we were treated.. you should never spend over $1k on a ring that is for lifetime feeling sour from all the bitchy remarks.
I had a wonderful experience previously at Kay Jewlers at Mall of America previously. (hence the visit to the store closer to us..) I suggest you try there rather than this store, I mean of course if you love being...
Read moreMy experience there was not what I expected. At first it was great until we had to get the ring sized and we purchased a wedding band along with it. They called us that it was ready to be picked up and when we did it was only the wedding band that was ready. It was common sense to call when both were ready, so we wasted time(no apologies to us either and we were kind about it til other issues kept coming). When we got the ring it was still big and I brought that up. His suggestion was to wear it for a week even when I mentioned that it comes off my finger easily. He seemed to not want to deal with us after we made the purchase. We also brought up about the insurance which he did not seem to want to do it, but before the purchase he seemed too be very ontop of it prior. Another issue was that my fiance's ring in our purchase and the same man that helped up try to blame it on someone else when he was the one that rung us up. With all these conflicts we decided to go to the coonrapids location where we were helped immediately by Desire. She was a great help and we are grateful for her knowledge(she got our ring sized again and our insurance). We were debating if we should rate this, but did not want newly weds to go through...
