I had a new line opened on my account for my wife and i requested for her phone number to be transferred to the new line. I also used an upgrade for a iPhone 16 E which i had and that was given to her for her new line. On Monday July 1st some how during the transaction the customer service representative that took care of me had my phone turned off and activated my wife phone using my phone number on her phone and not her original phone that was given for the transfer. I didn’t have any phone service all day. Since i couldn’t call or text on my phone i was able to chat with someone on My AT&T which was absolutely no help at all. First they told me that it was a network issue in my area. Then they told me that my phone needed rebutted. None of those things were true or the issue. When my wife noticed that she was receiving my phone calls and text messages on her new phone she called AT&T customer service and they told her that it was a quick fixed and to take the phone to an AT&T store and that i had to be present with her. So my wife and i went to the AT&T store in Merrillville Indiana and we received service beyond excellence from Mike. It wasn’t until Mike serviced us that we were told what really happened to our phones. Mike was very informative, very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, kind and took his time to resolve our matter. He worked on correcting the matter for hours. The store had closed and he continued to work on the matter until our phone lines were corrected and activated and both me and my wife phones were working correctly. I have worked in retail as a Store Manager for 34 years and the type of customer service that me and my wife received from Mike is the type of applicate that i would hire on the spot. Thank you again Mike for the excellent and outstanding customer service that you provided for us! It was your excellent service that turned our negative day into a very positive evening. If we ever encounter any problems in the future concerning our phones we will definitely request you! I will also share the friendly atmosphere experience we had at the AT&T store in Merrillville Indiana and the excellent customer service we received from Mike with family and friends. Read moreWasted a little over an hour of my time in this store today, combined with 8 hours of phone conversations with AT&T customer service trying to pay them so my phone will work. They can’t figure out how to take payment over the phone, or online, and no one helped me in store. Sounds like a wild made up story from a unsatisfied customer I’m sure, but unfortunately it’s the truth. I have 0 faith in AT&T. I’m not sure if it’s blatant incompetence by AT&T employees, or if they don’t want me saving $700 a year in my attempt to change plans. This is truly the most embarrassing excuse for customer service I have ever experienced. If an owner sees this can you please reply with an email address, as well as an address I can send a letter to for corporate? I can’t call because I don’t have a working phone. I assure you I am not attempting to smear AT&T’s image. I just want to speak with someone from corporate. If I was a business owner I would be irate at the performance of the multiple employees I spoke with trying to pay AT&T to use their services. Read moreStopped by looking for a wireless charger today. As soon as I walked into this location i was greeted promptly and professionally by Alex. Even though he was taking care of another customer at the moment he took a second to let me know that someone would be with me shortly. While I was waiting for a sales representative to attend to me, I can tell that the customer service that Alex was providing to the customer he was with at the moment was satisfactory. Just from the smile and joy on her face for what he was getting accomplished for her at that moment. Joe was the service rep that attended me not long after I arrived. After informing both Joe and Alex that I was there to purchase a wireless charger I was told about the deal that was going on and it was too good to pass up. Joe finished ringing me up for the items I was purchasing and after being informed of the warranty in case any issues were to occur i left the store. Overall this location is staffed with very knowledgeable and very professional employees.
