This happened in August 2017, this is a worst palace to take your laptop get checked. This guy says he will check the laptop problem freely. Truth is he steals the RAM's from the laptops or replace with not working RAMs. My wife took her Sony vaio laptop to get checked. It has 4gb ram and 500gb hard disk. Problem with Sony vaio is screen back cover was broken. She went to replace it. Instead he said some noise coming and leave the laptop here so that he can check. Next day he called said it's bad better to buy new laptop.
After few days my Lenovo laptop got problem. It has 16gb RAM, and 1TB hard drive.Mother board not getting power. I went to him to replace mother board. He said leave it here and will check what exact problem is. I left my laptop with him without taking note of Ram and hard drive numbers. After few hours he told that it won't work get new laptop.
I came home and opened my my laptop. I see that there was a 8gb Lenovo labeled ram and 4gb Samsung Ram. I called him next day told him what was missing. He calmly said he forgot and gave back Lenovo labeled 8gb ram.
This seems fishy about my wife's Sony vaio laptop too. I opened it there is only 2gb ram instead of 4gb.
Thought of going there to ask him to return RAM.
Anyway,
This is my sincere advice to people who were going to this place be careful with your laptop. There might be a chances of missing parts , rams or anything from your laptop.
I usually don't write reviews. But, I hope my reviews at least helps others to get ripped from this place.
This guy is not trust worthy. Please don't go. Waste...
Read moreHighly recommend Sac City Computer Hub even though I'm not a paying customer--but let me tell you why. My 3-yr old HP laptop's wifi card failed. I replaced it. Then it wouldn't boot back up. I had flashing lights on my CAPSLOCK button. Contacted three local computer repair shops in the grid and Ed was the only one to get back to me in a timely manner. I dropped my machine with him that day (!) for a free diagnostic & told him I had $200-250 to repair this one or I'd buy a new one. He took a look over the weekend, said it's a full motherboard failure, educated me about the symbolic flashing lights, and returned my computer free of charge. Said it would be less expensive to buy a new or refurbished machine ~$400 than to fix the old one. I had already found a good deal on a new Lenovo for 4 bills and pulled my data out using an SSD external case. Otherwise I would have considered one of the laptops he rebuilt in the shop. I appreciated how he was honest, direct, had a professional drop off receipt for peace-of-mind, and honored his free diagnostic. By comparison, one of the other repair shops never contacted me back. The third one I'll refer to by emojis (🧘🏽♀️🧸) responded days later, suggested a bunch of solutions via text (which I already tried) and finally let me know that if I decided not to repair the machine with them--even if it was impossible to do--they charge $119 for the diagnostic. Understandable, but a totally different business model. If I have any issues with this laptop down the line, I know I'll 100% go to...
Read moreMy first experience with Ed at Sac City Computer Hub was a couple years ago when I dropped my HP Envy laptop on its corner, damaging the power button and cracked the touchscreen. I figured it was totaled so I asked Ed to look at it and copy the data for me. I purchased a new laptop in the meantime because I use it professionally.
I was impressed with his ability to patch it up and bring it back online. Since I had already purchased a replacement machine, I didn't spend the additional money on replacing the touchscreen. I had a large crack that didn't interfere visually, so I put the new laptop back in the box and have been using the beat up machine since!
So now, two years later, the battery was failing, so I decided to go ahead and replace it and the screen. The plan was to give it to my daughter for school but after getting it back, I might be giving my daughter the new one, and I can keep my refurbished friend!
It only took about a week to complete the repairs. The machine looks and functions like new and the price was reasonable. Most importantly is the service. Ed is professional, knowledgeable, straight-forward, and friendly! A 5-star...
