The female employee who was moving items did not seem happy with her job. When I asked if they had a restroom, she replied, “No public bathrooms.” I mentioned that I had made a purchase here and she responded, “They’re for employees only!” Her demeanor was quite not happy with her job. She didn’t even say, “I’m sorry, we don’t have public bathrooms.” I could have asked if there was a bathroom for “humans only,” but instead, I left and drove the 20 minutes back home. I just couldn’t believe her response. I’ve been to other locations where even male employees would accommodate requests to use the employees only restroom. This branch of Grocery Outlet has terrible customer service!

Some of the deals are hit or miss. When I went it was a hit. Mangoes for a buck, coconut water for under $2, and a blanket for under $15. They literally have everything possible. The staff are affable and like to joke around when they get comfortable. I interacted with a few transients who hang out nearby. Bought them a drink and some beauty products. The spot definitely made my vacation a lot less costly then going to the restaurants.

I suggest to start here, then go to the higher priced store of your choice. Make sure to stop by and see the freezer guy, Donny, he's nice and will try to get what you want ASAP. Healthy Flash Frozen & ripe fruit, Vegetables, and N.O.S.H you need. Look at these (pic) tasty portioned into 4 individual portions, ready in 2 minutes. These are only $2.99 and taste amazing!

There prices are often not the cheapest, especially if you use sales and coupons (the apps) at other stores like Target or Safeway, and that's taking into account that most(if not all) of the stuff that is cheaper is close to expiration or have expired (of the sale by date or whatever has passed).

I used to go to this location on average 5 times a week because I live within walking distance, however I have stopped because....

They don't allow backpacks while shopping....now my problem is, I don't drive, my backpack is my purse. I'm not leaving at the front of the store unattended for someone to steal, because I know the cashiers aren't watching them. If your going to make people leave their bags up front, you need to have lockers or something to at least try to prevent people from possibly taking others stuff. Do not punish the rest of us because a few idiots steal things. And people with backpacks don't always steal, I've seen people with baby strollers and personal shopping carts walk out of the store without paying for the stuff they put in them.

Also, I have found half of your staff quite rude. (The other half are wonderful) I once had a manager or supervisor? argue with me about a price of an item that was clearly marked on the shelf, she basically treated me like I was trying to con the store. Luckily there was a wonderful guy (who works there, but wasn't on the clock) who was in line behind me and who actually listened to me, he walked with me to the item, saw what I was talking about about, told the woman that I was correct. She never apologized (although he did, but he wasn't in the wrong), she just remained rude. (I don't know their names but can definitely point them both out if I see them again).

It's sad, because I used to really like this store, but other than a few great staff, the rest of the staff and backpack policy ruins the shopping experience. And also makes it impossible for me to return (well that's because of the no backpack policy, although rude staff doesn't...

This wonderful store is a block from our home; another grocery store is also within an easy stroll from our place, but 9 times out of 10 we shop at Grocery Outlet. Grocery Outlet is far more affordable, the staff is friendly and efficient, and they greet regular customers by name. Most items are ‘brand name’ and perfect quality. You might have to check expiration dates on perishable items, but rarely do I find anything close to, or out of date.

Shopping here is a bit of ‘hit or miss’. You can’t go in with a shopping list and expect every item to be available. Peanut butter? Yes, but not necessarily your preferred brand. Tea bags? Usually not. But, somethings are always available, at low prices, with great selections: olive oils, wine (some real deals here if you’re familiar with the selections on the shelf) and an amazing array of table cheeses.

We typically buy fruit, vegetables, dairy products, and other staples here. Admittedly, when we do buy meat or poultry we go to the food coop or farmers’ market. If we need a particular item, maybe vanilla extract, or baking soda, or a spice that’s a bit uncommon, etc. we head to a bigger (triple the price) grocery store. But, overall, we much prefer...

This was the weirdest most out of places expensivest grocery outlet I've ever been to grocery outlet is supposed to be somewhere you get cheap deals cheaper than Walmart this place was high price way more than Walmart prices like Target. Besides the food looking old and the meat scaring me to buy it the employees I thought were very rude guy put my whole 45.00 order into one bag so I couldn't even grab the handles bars I had to ask him for another bag and he snatched the bag it was like here you go all snooty booty toned. Never ever will I shop here again. Even asked if they were hiring and the little Mexican lady was like no we're not hiring they need to hire they need some help in that store. If you guys are looking for a bargain market this is not a bargain market you want to go to this place was Highbury robbery for old crusty dry bread spoiled meat messy in category isles. Might as well stop Target a couple blocks up you're going to pay the same price as you pay here and you know you're going to get...
